66 Title: Economic and legal aspects of foreign direct investments on example of India Key words: International taxation, Protection of investments, Foreign direct investments (Mezinárodní zdanění, Ochrana investic, Přímé zahraniční investice) Abstract: The main goal of this paper is to look into economic and legal aspects of foreign direct (hereafter FDI) on the example of India as one of the most important global players in this field. The paper is composed of three chapters, each of them dealing with different aspects of FDI. Chapter one is introductory. It examines basic facts of FDI on general level as well as the Indian level. It also provides an outline of relevant Indian legislation towards FDI. Chapter two is subdivided into four parts and provides an answer to this question: How do states try to attract investments? Part one describes legislation of investment protection, part two describes legislation of international taxation, part three focuses on investment incentives and finally, part four gives us an example of institutions founded to support the investments. If it was not for the economic reforms, India would not be so attractive for the international capital. The Valuation of the company Holcim Česko, a.s.

The aim of this diploma thesis is to estimate the value of Holcim (Česko), a.s. on the date 30th April 2012. The company is a supplier of building materials throughout the Czech Republic and is thus strongly dependent on construction. The value of the company is prepared for the purchase by a potential investor who has access only to publicly available sources of information. In addition to determining the value of the company, you can find in the thesis the market analysis (the analysis of macroeconomic environment and industry analysis) and financial analysis covering the determination of financial health. An essential part of the thesis is the theoretical basis of the valuation process. The valuation of the company was determined by using the method of DCF valuation - FCFF and then the value of equity was determined.

The work is reflected both a view of marketing (situational analysis, SWOT analysis, marketing mix of new product ,...), and a purely financial perspective (the opening balance sheet, a financial plan for 5 years or a financial analysis of the supposed financial data).

Práce popisuje a hodnotí situaci spotřebitele v centrálně plánované ekonomice Kubánské republiky se zaměřením na vybrané oblasti, kterými jsou doprava, ubytování a maloobchod. Využívá autorovu osobní zkušenost se zemí, o které je složité získat nezkreslené informace a která svým centrálním plánováním a komunistickou diktaturou vytvořila nestandardní ekonomické a společenské prostředí.

Foreign direct investments inflow into India - selected topics

India has become one of the most important countries in a globalized world and foreign direct investments (FDI) are part of it. FDI have been supported by the Indian government since 1991. This paper aims to describe and analyze inflows of FDI into Indian economy. FDI will be analyzed from many angles after the first part which deals with the basic features of India. Third part deals with Indian policy towards FDI and the last one with some of the possible future oportunities to increase FDI inflows into India.
