Jalovcová, Kateřina ; Knor, Jiří (advisor) ; Peřan, David (referee)
Absktrakt Aims: This work deals with the use of an Automatic External Defibrillator (AED) in outpatient circulatory arrest in the Central Bohemian Region. The aim of this work is to map who most often activates an AED in a detected circulatory arrest. Another goal is to compare meaningful activations, ie activations where an electrical impulse was initiated and to compare them with AED activations when an eletrical impulse was not initiated. Methods: The research part of the work was performed by a conducting retrospective analysis. The presented data was provided by the Emergency Medical Services of the Central Bohemian region for the years 2019 and 2020. The data included recorded trips to outpatient circulatory arrests and activation of the First responders system and the use of AED for outpatient circulatory arrests. The hypotheses were tested using Fisher's exact test with a significance level of 5%. Results: In 2019, a total of 21 activations of First responders were recorded and in 2020 there were 27 activations. In 2019, AED was activated and defibrillation was initiated in 6 cases by First responders and in only 1 (20%) case the Return Of Spontaneous Circulation (ROSC) occurred. In 2020, EAD was activated and an electrical impulse discharged in 6 cases and in 2 (33.33%) cases ROSC occurred....
