Thin Ag-Sb-S films were prepared by RF magnetron sputtering as potential candidates for rewritable optical data storage films. There were prepared polycrystalline bulks of AgSbS2. Composition and homogeneity of these bulks were checked. Targets for RF magnetron sputtering were prepared from pulverized bulks by hot pressing technique. Targets were characterized the same way as bulks. Composition and homogeneity of prepared thin films were characterized by SEM-EDX and RBS/ERDA, amorphous/crystalline character was studied by XRD. Optical properties (spectral dependence of refractive index) were evaluated on basis of UV-Vis-NIR spectroscopy and variable angle spectral ellipsometry (VASE). Crystallization abilities were traced by thermal dependence of optical transmission of prepared thin films.

The study deals with relation between antisocial behavior in adolescence and school environment. The Social and Health Assessment (SAHA), a school survey, was administered to a nationwide sample of 4,980 adolescents in three age cohorts (12, 14, and 16 years) in Prague and 12 regional capitals of the Czech Republic. In present study we focus on cohorts of 12 and 14 years old adolescents (N = 3023). K-means cluster analysis on the items of Antisocial Behavior Scale was used to identify the main clusters of antisocial behavior. Four major clusters of children were identified. Subsequently, adolescents from different clusters were compared on the levels of their attachment to school, school climate, perceived support from teachers and general motivation to study. As we expected, adolescents from the cluster with high rate of antisocial behaviors perceive the school environment as the most negative.
Personality resources of coping with pain: gender differences
Blatný, Marek ; Černý, V. ; Hrdlička, M.
Study is aimed at gender differences in personality resources of coping with chronic pain. The research was done with the sample of patients, which were undergoing treatment of chronic pain (N=150, 50 male an 100 female). Respondents evaluated their capability to influence level of perceived pain on the seven-point rating scale, personality was measured by the means of Eysenck's Personality Inventory and Freiburg Personality Inventory. In male the capability to influence level of perceived pain is connected with low level of impulsive as well as reactive aggression and with low level of excitableness. In female the capability to influence level of perceived pain is related positively to moderateness, openness, and psychoticism and negatively to neuroticism.
Results of Czech part of International SAHA Project III.: Descriptive analysis of risky behaviors and risk and protective factors of development of youth from urban areas from the point of view of living area
Blatný, Marek ; Hrdlička, M. ; Květon, Petr ; Vobořil, Dalibor ; Jelínek, Martin
Report gives detailed description of risky behaviors and both risk and protective factors of development of youth from urban areas. Research was carried out with the national representative sample of adolescents (4.980 participants) in three age cohorts (12, 14, and 16-y-o) in the capital Prague and twelve regional capitols. Report gives overview for living areas.
