The Proposal of Work-life Balance in Selected Company

The aim of this diploma thesis is to analyze the strategy of selected private sector organization in the field of work - life balance and to propose measures to improve the current situation. The thesis specifies terms such as role conflict in the framework of work-life balance, gender and equal opportunities policy, the “flexicurity” concept as well as outlines a variety of measures leading to work-life balance. During the analysis, investigation via questionnaire and interview with manager of the relevant organization has been used. Based on acquired results, specific measures leading to more effective balance of work and personal life of employees of selected organization, including financial aspects of their introduction, has been proposed in the conclusion of this thesis.

Analysis of the intake of selected nutrients in school canteens

The topic of the diploma thesis is the analysis of the intake of selected nutrients in school canteens. The aim of the diploma thesis is to find out whether school canteens meet the standard of the consumer basket and nutritional standards for school meals in the legume commodity. The work is divided into two main parts. The theoretical part is divided into 5 main chapters. The first chapter deals with nutrition, the second chapter focuses on nutrients, the third chapter refers to basic nutrients, the fourth chapter is devoted to differentiated diets and the last chapter is about eating in school facilities. The practical part contains the results of filling the consumer basket in the commodity of legumes at schools in the South Bohemian Region, which then compares the results with the recommendations of the Decree on School Catering 272/2021.

The system of training guide dogs in the Czech Republic

The aim of the work lies in the current knowledge of the system of training guide dogs in the Czech Republic. A partial goal is a qualitative analysis and comparison of the phase of handing over the guide dog to clients with visual impairment in individual institutions focused on guide dog training in the Czech Republic. To fulfil these goals, a qualitative strategy was used in the design of a case study focused on the description and comparison of the training system of guide dogs with an emphasis on the analysis of the phase of handing over the compensatory aid. An interview and document analysis were used for data collection. The work is divided into two parts, the theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part includes three chapters. The first chapter deals with the concept of an individual with visual impairment, spatial orientation, and compensatory aids. The second chapter describes the system of training the guide dog, from the breeding itself to the actual delivery of compensatory aids. The last chapter of the theoretical part deals with institutions that mediate the training of guide dogs. The practical part of the bachelor thesis contains a research goal and a research question. Data were collected through a qualitative survey and the following methods were used: semi-structured interview and document analysis. Participatory observation was not performed due to the Coronavirus pandemic. Five out of ten organizations that provide guide dog training in the Czech Republic took part in the research. In accordance with the defined goal, a research question was formulated: "What are the differences in individual organizations of the Czech Republic, practicing VP, in the phase of handing over the guide dog to the client?" The findings of the survey showed that the institution differs only in that not all organizations offer clients the opportunity to be with their future guide dog alone and for the duration of this phase. It usually lasts 14 to 21 days, but some organizations approach individually and adjust the length of this phase to the needs of an individual. The qualification thesis can be used as a study material for students of humanities-oriented study programs. The results can serve as practice feedback for institutions that train guide dogs.

Role of small ribosomal proteins forming the decoding site in translation.

Translation is one of the key mechanisms occurring in the cell during every second of its existence. It is a very complex process ensured by three main actors: tRNAs, mRNAs and ribosomes. Despite of being thoroughly studied over decades, the understanding of some of its functional aspects is still rather poor. This bachelor thesis focuses on four small ribosomal proteins listed below that are reaching to the decoding centre of the small ribosomal subunit. It raises awareness of the structure and function of uS12, uS19, eS25 and eS30, their evolution, role within the ribosome, and the influence they have on various stages of translation. In particular, this thesis specifically reviews the importance of these four proteins for the stop codon readthrough. This phenomenon occurs when a near-cognate aminoacyl-tRNA or a natural suppressor tRNA wins with eRF1 over the corresponding stop codon and thus protein synthesis is continued resulting in the existence of a longer protein. It summarizes our current knowledge of its origin, molecular details of its mechanism, its existence in different species, benefits and disadvantages it brings to the life of a cell or even an organism, and finally it sums up all available knowledge for potential future use of readthrough in therapeutics. The tax and accounting system of a selected land and administrative unit

The main aim of the thesis was the analysis of the tax and accounting system of a land and administrative unit in the Vysočina region. The work focuses on the determination and understanding of basic terms related to the main aim, and furthermore, on the careful observation of the tax and accounting system of the Křelovice municipality. The selected accounting unit was observed in the framework of three years (2010 ? 2012).
