Tittle: History of athletic club Sokol Hradec Králové Abstract: The aim of this thesis is to focus on the origin and development of the athletics section of the Sokol Hradec Králové. First of all, the origin of Sokol on the territory of Czechoslovakia will be mentioned. Subsequently, the thesis will focus on the founding of the Sokol in Hradec Králové, under which the athletic section falls, and then there will be a mention of other Sokol units in the territory of Hradec Králové. The following chapter will be devoted to the historical development of the Hradec Králové athletic club from its foundation until the 1990s. The thesis will also mention important Hradec Králové athletes and their achievements. The thesis will conclude with a comparison of the Hradec Králové and Pardubice athletic clubs.
