Control of lighting with DALI protocol in the KNX bus system
Holub, Jiří ; Škoda, Jan (referee) ; Bátora, Branislav (advisor)
The thesis is focused on control of lighting with DALI protocol in the KNX bus system. There are briefly described different types of bus systems. The work partly describes the digital bus system DALI for lighting operating. It analyses the ETS3 software environments used for programming the KNX installations. Within the framework of the practical part, two laboratory panels equipped with ABB Company´s elements were created. For these panels, four laboratory manuals were drawn up. Each manual includes the task, the instructions, the brief description, the connection diagram and the procedure. The manuals describe single ABB's elements such as the KNX light module, the KNX roller blind module, the DALI light module and the usage of LCD controller priOn to operate all of the modules used in the tasks.
Inovace autonomního systém pro měření osvětlenosti v interiéru
Drábek, Tomáš ; Holub, Jan
The goal of this report is to show the results we achieved in the field of autonomous indoor illuminance measurement. At the beginning of the paper the state of the art measurement methodology is shown. It is followed by the description of the robotic unit we designed for the purpose of automation of the measurement process. Moreover, the algorithm for measurement process is described in detail. The rest of the paper deals with possible improvements of the robotic platform mainly by adding new sensors and by adding the illuminance vector measurement unit.
High-specific speed hydraulic turbine
Holub, Jiří ; Haluza, Miloslav (referee) ; Rudolf, Pavel (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is to design a geometry of runner of high specific speed turbine which is supposed to provide the maximum flow rate of the turbine while achieving a relatively high hydraulic efficiency. New design is based on the analysis of the hydraulic characteristics of three previous design sof very hiát specific speed turbines. The actual hydraulic pdesign of the turbine runner is based on CFD computations. Special software tools like BladeGen and TurboGrid were used for petting up the geometry and mesh for the very first time at Kaplan Department of Fluid Engineering.
Remote control and visualization of bus-systems KNX and DALI for building management
Holub, Jiří ; Macháček, Jan (referee) ; Bátora, Branislav (advisor)
The thesis is focused on bus systems and their control by GUI. Basic energy management principles and the mostly known bus systems are analysed in the first – theoretical part of the paper. The theoretical part is then focused on software tool ETS 4, which is used for activation of system installation KNX. Software tool SmartServer, which is used for communication between bus system KNX and web interface, is described at the end of the first theoretical part. Two laboratory boards assembled of KNX and DALI parts were constructed in the second – practical part. Three laboratory tasks, which are prepared so they are related to theoretical description in previous part, were submitted in next step. Aim of the first task is to introduce basics of the board and PriOn interface. The second task is focused on DALI components and temperature control with PriOn regulating device. Creating of basic visualization and controlling of the board with SmartServer is described in the last task.
The wettability of the solid/liquid interface and second viscosity of fluids
Holub, Jiří ; Haluza, Miloslav (referee) ; Fialová, Simona (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor´s thesis is to investigate wettabillity of surfaces towards liquids separated by the types of surfaces and their behavior with usage of various liquids. By experiment in which contact angle was measured on three surfaces with evaluation of surface energy. Six various liquids were used for measuring and put on three different surfaces. This work also contains second viscosity of liquids and it´s formulation.
Bank's IT department process management improvement
Holub, Jan ; Svatá, Vlasta (advisor) ; Ondruška, Marek (referee)
This thesis deals with the topic of process management as a part of IT Governance. Cobit is the standard for the IT Governance. For the purpose of the thesis we use Cobit 5, the latest Cobit version published in 2012. Next part of the thesis is focused on describing the principles of process management and analyzing differences between line and process management. To be able to choose the appropriate modeling notation, the work uses the most common notation of process modeling -- BPMN, EPC and UML. The second part of the thesis analyses the current status of process management in an international bank using methods of questionnaire, document analysis and observation. Following the analysis, new concept of process management is created and applied to two specific processes.
A school for healthy and physically active lifestyle in pupils of elementary school in Netolice
HOLUB, Jan
This thesis focuses on differences in locomotive activity between 13 ? 16 years old boys and girls during one week of 8th and 9th class. Research was carried out between from 18th ? 26th of September 2012 at the Elementary School Bavorovská in Netolice. The research was conducted by means of pedometer Yamax SW-700. The total amount of participants was 34 students, which included 20 boys and 14 girls. Additionally, the students participated in measurements conducted by ActiTrainer accelerometer recorded in the overall number of 56 daily records. In addition to the machine measurements, students were asked to fill in a questionnaire of their sport preferences on the webpage INDARES.COM. The data were analysed in the centre for kinanthropology research at Palacky University in Olomouc. The results do not confirm a hypothesis H1, which suggests that students do not exceed the recommended amount of locomotive activity. The data obtained during my research confirm a hypothesis H2, which states that boys are more active in their physical activities than girls. Additionally, a hypothesis H3 is also confirmed as boys prefer to participate in collective sports and girls in rhythmic and dancing activities. Hypothesis 4 is also considered to be correct since it has been proven that boys are more active than girls in terms of their movement during the class break. This thesis was produced as a part of research investigation MŠMT č. 619895221 ?Locomotive activity and inactivity of inhabitants of Czech Republic in the context of behavioural changes.?
Business Continuity Management in ITIL and CobiT methodologies
Holub, Jan ; Svatá, Vlasta (advisor) ; Toman, Prokop (referee)
This work deals with the importance of information for organizations and threats to the safety of IS / ICT, which the organization faces. Further about the information safety management according to ISO 27001 and 27002. The main goal of this work is to describe approaches to business continuity management using the BS 25999-1 and BS 25999-2 and specifics for the IT service continuity management according to ITIL and CobiT methodologies. This work searches for interactions and differences between the procedures for continuity management. In the final part the procedure is shown for the introduction of BCM in a telecommunications company on the sample process.
X {--} ray exposition parameters for imaging of prehistoric material.
HOLUB, Jan
The research of prehistoric skeletal samples using X {--} ray techniques is now a routine practice. With the development of digital technologies, the process of image is significantly faster, and subsequent processing brings more information that increases the yield of such research. Due to the availability of different systems, it is not clear which technology is the best for anthropological purposes. Moreover, when there is a huge quantity of samples to be imaged, we often obtain poor quality images. That in turn requires us to experiment with the setting of proper exposure times, thus slowing the entire imaging process. The objective of this work is to determine exposure parameters for prehistoric skeletal samples and to evaluate their effectiveness in direct and indirect digitalization systems. A subsequent goal is to compare the devices in terms of operation, quickness and quality of images, and to provide recommendations for the most suitable technology for working with these samples.
