Partonic showers and jets
Hladík, Ondřej ; Kupčo, Alexander (advisor) ; Spousta, Martin (referee)
Title: Partonic showers and jets Author: Ondřej Hladík Department: Institute of Theoretical Physics MFF UK Supervisor: Mgr. Alexander Kupčo, Ph.D., Institute of Physics ASCR, v. v. i. Abstract: In the present thesis we compare experimentally measured differential and integrated jets shapes with predictions of quantum chromodynamics (QCD) at the second order (NLO) of perturbative expansion. The measured jet sha- pes were taken from ATLAS experiment at LHC in proton-proton collisions at a center-of-mass energy √ s = 7 TeV and were compared with these predictions. The jets were reconstructed by means of anti-kT jet algorithm with R = 0.6. The predictions at NLO QCD agree with data in wider kinematics region than predictions at leading order (LO). The agreement, however, is still in some kine- matical regions not satisfactory. Keywords: QCD, jets, jet shapes, LHC
Everyday life of (female) prisoners in the Monastery of Řepy in the 1930s and 1940s
Dopitová, Michaela ; Pullmann, Michal (advisor) ; Hladík, Ondřej (referee)
The aim of this thesis is to provide insight into the lifes and stories of female prisoners kept in the convent of Congregation of Sisters of Mercy of St. Borromeo in Prague's Řepy, at the turn of the 1930s and 1940s. The thesis consists of analysis of the prisoners, based on their nationality, social position, type of crime, length of sentence, and religion. Another focus is on the aims of the prison, educational means applied on women, and the respect of the prisoners to these means and the staff as such. The thesis describes everyday life in the convent, including activities done by the prisoners. It follows the behavior of the residents, their mutual relationships, the hierarchy between the women and the process of dealing with each other.
Criminality and law in the New Town of Prague in the years 1585-1593
Hladík, Ondřej ; Čechura, Jaroslav (advisor) ; Županič, Jan (referee)
A criminality and forms of combat against is one of the basic themes, which are connected with a research of life in Early modern towns. The results of the research assert mostly in historical anthropology, history of everyday life and research of mentalities. But it is not possible to ignore criminological access with many other problems. These problems are for examle - ways of investigations, detentions of suspected people, judicial proceedings and sentences. One of the fundamental resources is book of conscience. It is necessary to consider a distortion of information in concrete delits (esp. in cases, when any witness could be also suspected as accomplice). Destpite of these problemys they are able to help us with detailed analyses of criminal activities, but there is also information about people, who served a notice on town hall.
Criminality and law in the New Town of Prague in the year 1586
S tím samozřejmě souvisí i další problémy, mezi něž patří způsob vyšetřování spáchaného deliktu, zatčení zločince, soudní řízení a nelze vynechat ani tresty ukládané viníkům.

Analysis of the company environment
Hladík, Ondřej ; Dvořáček, Jiří (advisor) ; Strouhal, Jiří (referee)
This bachelor thesis deals with methods of analysing the company environment and then using these methods on a company Travel Service, a.s. The primary purpose is to determine main factors affecting the market position of this company. Methods used for analyzing the company environment are introduced in theoretical part of the thesis. For analysing the macroenvironment is used PEST analysis and Porter five force model is used for analysing the critical factors of macroenvironment. The thesis include SWOT analysis and recommendations for the company based on the collected informations.
e-Learning - video courses creation principles
Hladík, Ondřej ; Benda, Petr (advisor)
This bachelor thesis, bearing the title: e-Learning - Principles of creating video courses, aims to discuss the issue of the use of educational videos as one of the leading media in e-Learning. In its introduction the work represents quick overview of today's e-Learning and explanation of this term, however, in the next section it is strictly focusing on the main part, which is education through the help of video. Thesis continues by describing role of video in e-learning. In this area it explores patterns, analyzes the approaches to developing and represents possibilities that it offers in detail. Also usage of this way of teaching and its flexibility to the theme in order to maximize the effectiveness of the transmission of new information and its usefulness in everyday life. In the last part author of this thesis is taking advantage of the results gained from theoretical part and use it for the sake of creation of his own video course.
Comment on identifying the location of transitional region in boundary layer
Hladík, Ondřej ; Jonáš, Pavel
This article deals with the determination of laminar/turbulent boundary layer transition. Data from hot-wire CTA measurement are evaluated by Detector funcion D(t) is applied on data from hot-wire CTA measurement.
On some features of wall friction during by-pass transition
Hladík, Ondřej ; Jonáš, Pavel ; Mazur, Oton ; Uruba, Václav
In this paper the results of conditional analysis of the instantaneous wall friction during by-pass transition of rough wall boundary layer are presented. The turbulent and non-turbulent zones averages were received by means of intermittency analysis of measurements.
Preliminary experimental investigation of boundary layer in decelerating flow
Hladík, Ondřej ; Jonáš, Pavel ; Příhoda, Jaromír
Investigations of characteristics of turbulence inside boundary layer under decelerating flow were studied by means of constant temperature anemometer. The decelerating flow was simulated in the closed circuit wind tunnel 0.9 m × 0.5 m at IT AS CR. The free stream turbulence was either natural or risen up by square mesh plane grid. The details of experimental settings and measurement procedures of the instantaneous longitudinal velocity component are described and the distributions of intensity, skewness and kurtosis of turbulent fluctuations are discussed in the contribution.
