Linhartová, Lucie ; Charvát, Jan (advisor) ; Gelnarová, Jitka (referee)
The theme of this thesis is the Czechoslovak Anarchist Federation (CSAF), specifically its development, the transformation it has undergone during its existence and what position the CSAF holds today. The CSAF was founded in 1995 (its original name was the Czech Anarchist Federation) and it is the longest active anarchist organization in modern Czech history. The aim of this thesis is to capture the transformation of the CSAF based on the examination of their themes and activities, through which we can see how it has progressed and what specific developments have undergone. The aim of this thesis is to therefore answer the following questions: What specific developments have occurred within the CSAF? What changes have arisen within it, both in individual themes and within the membership? How has its position changed over the years and what is the position of the CSAF today? The thesis will in part be based on specialized publications, which are necessary for the theoretical definition of anarchism, but mostly will come from journals, which the CSAF has previously published and continues to publish today as well as information from their website. Finally, personal research conducted based on further exploratory evidence will be used in the analysis and evaluation of this thesis.

Consociational theory - Libanon case study
Coufal, Ondřej ; Říchová, Blanka (advisor) ; Gelnarová, Jitka (referee)
This bachelor thesis deals with contribution of Consociational theory for Lebanon in 1943 till 1975 and during a follow-up state's reconstruction in 1989 after a civil war. In 1943 Lebanon becomes an independent state for the first time and its political system contained Consociational principles described by Netherland's political scientist Arend Lijphart. Those were present in order to keep the system stable despite wide religious fragmentation which was the Lebanon's case. The possibility of taking part in political decision making had all of the relevant groups. Institutional organization matched the basic Consociational conditions but the society was divided ideologically and socially. Arab nationals appeared among the Muslims whilst the Christians rather advanced the Lebanese nationalism. Problems were also brought together with a bad socioeconomic situation which was mostly a disadvantage for Muslims. Already a situation this difficult was intensified by a long-termed Arab-Israeli conflict and the Palestinian migration in Lebanon going along with it. The aim of this thesis is to find out how the elites dealt with such a difficult situation in 1943 till 1975 then to evaluate the presence of Consociational principles and their contribution.

Anthony as the leading figures of white middle class American feminism and suffragism. The thesis uses the method of critical discourse analysis and tries to find out how were black men, black women, or white women themselves (in order to compare themselves with other groups of people) presented by the authors during the campaign for the voting rights. Very important for the thesis is the relation text-context, the relation between speeches or articles of the authors and social conditions of the period. That is why this thesis deals with the wider context of authors' discourse, especially with the history of voting rights in the USA and the history of woman rights movement. The description in the thesis starts before the American Civil War, then it goes through the Reconstruction period, when the important constitutional amendments were passed, through 1870s and 1880s, to the end of the 19th century, when the Southern states introduced new limitations of the voting rights. Gelnarová, Jitka ; Říchová, Blanka (advisor) ; Kobová, Ĺubica (referee) ; Dudeková, Gabriela (referee)
Right and good : Argumentation and Discourse of Czech Activists for Women's Suffrage Jitka Gelnarová Abstract The dissertation deals with the concept of suffrage within the discourse of Czech women's suffrage activists between 1897 and 1914. The aim is to define how the concept of suffrage was constructed by Czech suffragists within the context they lived in, how their notion of the suffrage was influenced by the fact that different women were positioned differently within the system of hierarchies based on gender, class and nation. The dissertation focuses on the hierarchies present in the discourse; the relation of "public" and private" in the discourse; the notion of "political representation" in the discourse; positions the suffragists spoke from and their representation of the enemy ("us/them"); the functions the concept of "Czechness" fulfilled in relation to the demand of female suffrage in the discourse; and the relation of "universality" and "particularity" to the demand of female suffrage in the discourse.
