Financial planning for social enterprise establishment and management

This thesis is devoted to financial planning related to the establishment and management of a social undertaking during its lifecycle. It follows from the research focused on the issue of social undertakings in business in general. It describes various fields of social business activities and the best practices in financial planning and management recommended in literature. Along with this, it identifies the current situation in financial planning and management at social undertakings in the territory of the Czech Republic. In addition to the monitoring of the current situation, this paper deals with the results of the evaluation whether the undertakings which adhere to the recommended business administration methods of planning and management achieve better results. The aim of this work is to find and specify the differences between successful and unsuccessful undertakings on the basis of the defined best practices and their financial management and planning and to find a "manual" on how a social undertaking should plan and manage in order to achieve optimum results. The bachelor thesis "The Possibilities of Using Horticultural Therapy for Persons with Visual Impairment in the House for Patients with Visual Impairment named Palata" deals with the theme of horticultural therapy and ways of its application to people with visual impairment in a particular facility. Theoretical part includes definitions of key topics such as visual impairment, dementia and horticultural therapy. However, it mostly focuses on horticultural therapy and the limitations and possibilities of their use. The practical part contains a description of designed and tested possibilities of use as well as their evaluation and final modification of individual examples.

Bussiness plan design for a social enterprise The thesis deals with the proposal of a business plan for Mineral Bangle, which produces jewelry and accessories from mineral stones. The company financially supports Farní charita in Roudnice nad Labem and 10 % of profits goes for children's and youth's trips from low-threshold facilities. The company is in the market for the third year and intends to be transformed into a social enterprise to make a greater contribution to the society. The aim of the thesis is to contribute to the development and transformation of the already functioning company into a social enterprise by creating a business plan that will be used in the grant application and will also serve as an inspiration for other students whom are social businesses closer than ordinary business. The business plan will be compiled including an analysis of the external and internal environment, analysis of company statistics, mapping of the business environment, identification of strengths and weaknesses, elaboration of marketing, financial plan and risk management plan. The plan contains description of conditions under which a social enterprise could operate. The Concept of Supervision in Social Firms in the Czech Republic Conditions

The aim of this work is processing of information about application and possibilities of using supervision in social firms and enterprises which work on social economic base. In theoretical part of this work are described the basic principles of social economic, conditions of social firms and their system of work with employees, and with clients if we see it from social point of view. Further there is developed the Theory of supervision, its kinds, forms and possibilities of using. The empirical part is realised by qualitative research focused on mapping of present situation in provision of supervision in social firm and it's specific in each other enterprises. Whole work is extended by the actual list of Czech and foreign literature reviewing about social economic, social firms and the system of work in terms of these specific social services.

Faktory úspěchu nestátních neziskových organizací

Diplomová práce vyhodnocuje faktory úspěchu vzorku 30-ti nestátních neziskových organizací poskytujících sociální služby v regionech Olomouckého a Moravskoslezského kraje. Zkoumané jevy jsou rozděleny do několika základních kategorií a vyhodnoceny souhrnně za celý zkoumaný vzorek, byly odhaleny některé křížové vazby mezi těmito jevy. Informace byly získány dotazníkovým šetřením provedeného formou řízených rozhovorů. Na základě získaných dat bylo vyhodnoceno plánování, marketing, fundraising, konkurence, práce dobrovolníků, finanční řízení a zdroje financování. Podle doby fungování NNO byli respondenti rozděleni do skupin za účelem odhalení jejich vnitřních společných znaků a odlišností od ostatních.
