Faces recognition as a distinctive cognitive process
Fišer, Ondřej ; Fuchs, Roman (advisor) ; Pokorný, Šimon (referee)
Facial recognition has been a major scientific topic. What particular cognitive process is responsible for recognition was a great unknown. Now, scientists are most inclined to the theory of holistic facial perception that we perceive the face as a whole. For successful face recognition it is necessary to pay attention to individual components and their configuration. Thanks to this approach, a person is an expert on faces and can obtain many types of information from them in a short time. Behavioral and neurological evidence supported the theory of holistic facial perception. The main behavioral tasks that support holistic facial perception are three: part-whole task, face inversion task, and composite task. The first two showed that face recognition negatively affects both the manipulation of individual components and their configuration. The composite task then shows that we are not able to perceive individual parts of the face independently. Holistic perception in animals has not been unequivocally confirmed, but for animals the face is as important as for humans. Moreover, the possibility of applying holistic perception to objects other than faces is currently being pointed out. Holistic perception today appears to be a robust type of perception applicable to various stimuli that meet the...
Timer For Rc Models
Fišer, Ondřej
This paper describes complete design of timer for RC models. Described timer has three PWM outputs. With these outputs it is possible to connect two independent servo-motors and engine controller. The whole is controlled by 8-bit microprocessor. The time records are stored in external EEPROM, that can be programmed by using I2C bus. Paper further discus design of programming, which can be easily programmed the memory of EEPROM by the PC or smartphone. The goal of this paper is to design and build high quality RC timer with accessories.
Mapping of radio-climatological parameters and their practical utility
Fišer, Ondřej ; Pek, Viktor ; Pitaš, Karel
Mapping of radioclimatological parameters in the form of digital or classic “paper“ maps is very useful for the planning of microwave satellite connections. Variables for simple calculation of water vapor attenuation (integrated water vapor content), clouding of cloud (integrated water content) and rainfall (precipitation intensity at 0.01%) are most often mapped. The formula for the distribution function of the attenuation is then relatively simple. Mapping is mostly done by ITU-R, ESA and WMCWF.
Vertical rain profile to estimate satellite signal attenuation
Fišer, Ondřej ; Pek, Viktor ; Pitaš, Karel
With respect to the propagation of electromagnetic waves in frequency bands above 10 GHz, the attenuation due to the passage of electromagnetic wave hydrometers (rain, fog, snow etc.) must be respected in the design of analogue and digital satellite connections. The attenuation of the hydrometeorists depends on the length of the connection, transmission frequency, polarization and climatic conditions.
Integrated Multichanel Audio Amplifier for Home Cinema
Fišer, Ondřej
This paper describes complete design of amplifier for home cinema system. Described amplifier has 2 digital inputs (TOSLINK and S/PDIF) and single analog input. With this inputs it is possible to connect amplifier to a source of surround audio 5+1 signal. Paper further discuss design of correction circuits, preamplifier, power amplifier and power source. The whole is controlled by 8-bit microprocessor and has a graphics output implemented through LCD display. The goal of this paper is to design and build high quality amplifier.

Earth-space path propagation characteristics in the climatic conditions of the Czech Republic from Alphasat Ka/Q band experiment
Fišer, Ondřej ; Brázda, Vladimír ; Pešice, Petr ; Grabner, M.
The objective of the activity is to prepare, realize and conduct experimental research of the influence of atmospheric phenomena on the Earth-space path propagation characteristics at 20 and 40 GHz (Ka/Q) bands in the specific climatic conditions of the Czech Republic (CR). The scientific approach is based on the comprehensive measurements of physical parameters of atmosphere together with concurrent measurements of propagation characteristics on the Earth-space path and on 10 collocated terrestrial paths with star configuration. The proposed activity will utilize the ESA Alphasat Mission Ka/Q experiment that is designed to investigate the propagation characteristics on slant paths in Europe and elsewhere.
Analyzation and proposal of the new features in order to enhance the competitiveness of the company
Csörgöová, Edina ; Říhová, Zora (advisor) ; Fišer, Ondřej (referee)
The purpose of this thesis is to analyze and propose new features in order to enhance the competitiveness of the company. The thesis is divided into two parts. The first part focuses on theoretical framework such as innovation, innovation process and process management. The second part is based on the analysis of the companie s competitors and SWOT analysis. Based on the results of these analysis, the thesis further investigates the companys opportunities. Data for this research were gathered from analysis, surveys, phone and personal interviews Specific innovative steps are suggested by using the results of this research. These steps are measured through balance scorecard and then the implementation steps are described together with process models based on BPMN. The results reveal recommendation for future growth of the company.
Children in magazines for parents in 2013
Fišer, Ondřej ; Hejlová, Denisa (advisor) ; Klabíková Rábová, Tereza (referee)
The main aim of the diploma thesis is to describe the way that magazines for parents communicate with their readers and to identify the role of the representation of children. A selection of articles representing both commercial and noncommercial communication is analyzed using the method of semiotic analysis. The introductory part of the thesis, briefly presenting the history of media research, is followed by a section describing the way that motherhood and the status of a child has been perceived throughout history, with special attention to the influence of Christianity. Following chapters focus on the changes of the social role of women that enabled the rise of women's periodicals, both in the USA, Europe and also in the Czech lands. The part dedicated to legislation introduces the most significant legal definitions of children and childhood in relation to media. The analytical part of the thesis is preceded by a brief characterization of the selected magazines and an explanation of the method of semiotic analysis. The analysis results in the description of meaning bearing elements of the individual pieces of information which are placed in a wider social context. The summary offers a review of the most significant findings relating to the communication of periodicals with their readers, the...
We grew up on Sunar-mark. communication in the area of infant formula
Fišer, Ondřej ; Hejlová, Denisa (advisor) ; Halada, Jan (referee)
The bachelor thesis We grew up on Sunar - marketing communication in the area of infant formula examines the issue of advertising infant formula, with special focus on the communication of the brand Sunar. A brief outline of the history of breastfeeding and development of artificial infant formula, offering a comprehensive insight into the subject matter, is followed by a case study of the Nestlé company. This case brought on significant changes in the perception of the issue of infant feeding marketing as well as in the regulations limiting greatly the options of marketing communication in this segment. Important legislation is briefly introduced. The work then presents a concise history of the Hero company and its brand Sunar and in detail analyzes and describes individual elements used in selected samples of advertising; these are placed in a larger social and historical context and confronted on the basis of common marketing communication theories. The work also mentions the most significant non-governmental breastfeeding organizations and their activities. The aim of this work is to explore the communication of the brand Sunar resulting from the consumer perception of the brand and to sum up the facts from the area of communication strategies of infant and child nutrition companies.
