Mapping the lifestyle of 16-17-year-olds in Neratovice.
Hampejs, Tomáš ; Bunc, Václav (advisor) ; Dvořák, Martin (referee)
Title of the thesis: Mapping the lifestyle of 16-17-year-olds in Neratovice. Aim of the study: The thesis surveys the components of the lifestyle of young people in the Neratovice region, in the hope of influencing the state of health of the age group of 16-17 years. Method: The work is based on a sociological survey conducted in 2012 at two schools with different forms of tuition - a grammar school (gymnázium) and a vocational school (učiliště) in Neratovice. The research method was a poll. The polling had two stages: two pilot surveys on a sample of 149 respondents, and a study of 174 respondents. The final data were analyzed with respect to gender and the type of school using the Mann- Whitney U test. The survey questions were based on the questionnaire CAV 2001 for youth and the questionnaire "Determinanty účasti na cvičení" (University of Tasmania - FTK UP Olomouc). Results: The results of the survey show that boys are doing significantly better in physical activity (PA) and girls in physical inactivity (PI) and diet. Grammar school students are doing better in PA and they have a significantly better diet than vocational school students. As for PI, the results were similar for both groups. In terms of PA, 38% of boys and almost 75% of girls do not meet the current minimum levels of PA. As...
System peaks in elektromigration systems with complexing agents
Dvořák, Martin ; Gaš, Bohuslav (advisor) ; Coufal, Pavel (referee)
Capillary zone electrophoresis (CZE) is a widely used analytical method. CZE is described theoretically very well and there are many simulation programs, which enable one to predict results of electrophoretic separations, and alternatively to study phenomena taking place during the electrophoretic separation in detail. The CZE method is not only an analytical method, but is often used for determination of many physical parameters of compounds, such as stability constants or complex mobilities. Among methods most often used for determination of complexation parameters belongs the affinity capillary electrophoresis (ACE). Its alternative is the vacancy affinity capillary electrophoresis (VACE). Whereas by the ACE method the stability constant is determined from the dependence of the analyte effiective electrophoretic mobility on the background electrolyte (BGE) composition, in the case of the VACE system peaks are used for this purpose. In this work the legitimacy of using system peaks in the VACE method for determination of stability constants was investigated. Several approaches dealing with the concentrating of complexing agent in the peak area were compared, both for the ACE and the VACE method. Two different kinds of electrophoretic systems were studied. In the first one, neutral cyclodextrin was used as...
RAF members from Melnik region
Dvořák, Martin ; Václavů, Lubor (advisor) ; Skopek, Robert (referee)
The aim of my bachelor's thesis titled "RAF members from Melník region during the Second World War" is to describe the activity of Mělník natives in Royal Air Force. While this is the central point the thesis follows the subjects since they crossed the borders of Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia, as well as their other journeys that led them either through Poland or France. The beginning of the thesis provides rather general introduction focused on the outbreak of the Second World War, the activity of Czechoslovak aviators in Poland and France, and eventually depicts the establishment of Czechoslovak air squadrons in Britain. Each Mělník native is then further analyzed within individual chapters where I describe their life and war experiences.
Quantal and thermal phase transitions in atomic nuclei
Dvořák, Martin ; Cejnar, Pavel (advisor) ; Knapp, František (referee)
In this bachelor work phase transitions in atomic nuclei are studied. The main attention is paid to quantal phase transitions between nuclear ground states of different symmetry. First, the interacting boson model in its simplest version, IBM-1, is introduced. The correspondence between the IBM and the geometric model of nuclei is indicated and possible shapes of the nucleus in the ground state are introduced. In the next step, critical and degenerated critical points of the potential derived from the IBM-1 are investigated in detail, especially their dependence on parameter values of the potential. Degenerated critical points are classified using the catastrophe theory. The special values of potential parameters are found for which phase transitions of the first and second order occur. Finally, the possibility of substitution of the potential by canonical catastrophic functions in a vicinity of degenerated critical points is discussed.
Wrong site surgery prevention in orthopaedics
Dvořák, Martin ; Marx, David (advisor)
Aim: The main aim of the study was an analysis of precautions of wrong side surgery in the Czech Republic and comparison with our neighbouring countries (Germany, Slovakia, Russia). Methodics: We used an anonymous questionnaires sented into hospitals having orthopaedic clinic or orthopaedic department in the Czech Republic, Germany, Slovakia and Russia. Than we evaluated returned questionnaires. Results: 60% of hospitals in the Czech republic has an internal standard of the pacient identification and wrong- side surgery prevention, 53% use a plastic bracelet. Praeoperative verification performs in 80% at least two members of operation team in the Czech Republic. An epizode of wrong-side surgery indicate 27% of interviewed hospistals. Half of that were faculty hospitals. 60% of czech hospitals performed some changes in wrong-side surgery prevention in last ten years. Only 20% of interviewed hospitals in Germany use a plastic bracelet. Praeoperative verification performs in 40% at least two members of operation team in Germany. 40% of hospitals in germany performed some changes in wrong-side surgery prevention in last ten years. Wrong-side surgery prevention is in the next rated parameters on the same level in the Czech republic and in Germany. We couldn't evaluate and compare results from Slovakia and Russia...
Discrepancies in view of the condition when assessed by the carers and the patient himself in the ED settings
Koubová, Michaela ; Dvořák, Martin (referee) ; Uhlíř, Marek (advisor)
Paper would examine discrepancies in the perception of the patient`s condition viewed by the medical staff and the patient himself and also its corelation with the means of transport to the hospital. In addition, we will compare pain assessed by the staff to the actual NRS10 scale-based value told by the patient; sex-related corelation would be also examined.
