ANNOTATION: Bc thesis FROM A NOSE REPLANTATION TO A FACE TRANSPLANTATION summarizes basic problems of transplantations. It deals with possibility of the transplantation of human face trom the medical and ethic aspects. This method is the latest new way of transplant medicine in treatment of the severe deformed face. "From despair to expectation" The quick development of science and technic during the last century brought a variety of new technologic strategies in many fields of human activities. The face transplantation is the last innovation of transplant surgery branch. The aim of this operation is to help seriously mutilated people (e.g. face tumors, injuries) and bring them back to common life. But on the other hand, these new methods entailing many ethic, medical and legal consequences. In this study, I tried to describe the short story of eleven patients who were operated as the first in the world. Be based on their tragic life experience, I tried to vindicate the decision of both patients and specialists to undergo the realization of this serious surgical intervention.
