The Importance of Coaching in the Direct Sales on an Example of the Southwestern Company

The main objective of this thesis is to explore the dependence between coaching and sales results of sales people during the Southwestern Company internship. In the theoretical part, I describe the concept of coaching and its history, on the basis of available literature and internet sources. Further, I devote to coaching models and tools that coaches use for improving the performance of coached people. At the end of the theoretical part, I define the specifics of direct sales and I depict the importance of direct sales nowadays. The practical part is devoted to the Southwestern Company, which uses direct sales to distribute educational products. I introduce the history of the company, its product portfolio and summer Southwestern Advantage Internship for university students. The centre of this thesis is the research, which I did during the summer 2012, when I applied coaching in communication with the sales people I worked with. The conclusion of this thesis is the link between theory and experience and also the following recommendations to apply coaching to increase the volume of production of the Southwestern sales people.

Apprehension of the Southwestern Company by University Students

In my bachelor thesis I deal with the corporate identity and image. I have also concentrated on public relations as an important component of the corporate communication. The theoretical part deals with the image formation through the corporate identity and also deals with public relations, reputation management and corporate social responsibility. The purpose of my thesis is to evaluate how university students apprehend the Southwestern company and its summer internship presented by the company. As the response to the theoretical part, I have introduced the Southwestern Company and its Southwestern Advantage Internship in the analytical part. The key point of the analytical part is the analysis of the corporate image. I have analysed the corporate culture and communication by survey, and the corporate design and products by the semantic differential. In the conclusion, there are recommendations for improving the apprehension of the Southwestern Company by university students.

Organic food and its position in contemporary retailing

This master thesis is focused on czech organic food and it role in current czech retailing. Organic food is nowadays widely discussed but czech local organic food is unjustly neglected. In the theoretical part of the master thesis, terms such as retailing and organic farming are defined, it also alyses czech retail market and czech organic food market. Analytical part, on the other hand, uses these termes in the actual analysis of the czech organic food market. Using data collected from 5 different retailers (Globus, Tesco, Interspar, Penny Market a Albet) I conducted a country of origin analysis. Last part of the thesis sums up recommendations to improve the position of czech local product, aimed at czech farmers, consumers and oficial organizations.

"Living sacrifice" as a model of life-attitude

"Living sacrifice" (established by Abraham, continuing in Job, fulfilled in Jesus Christ and emphasized by apostle Paul) is for me a life-attitude originating in relationship with God. The importance and depth of personal self-sacrifice was highlighted by F. M. Dostojevskij. He transformed it into various characters in his novels, which understandably depicted the theme of selfless life in all the complexity of current culture. According to my opinion, selfless existence is a result of God´s wor in a human being. It is a life recast and transformed by the Word of God. A man can only open himself (and decide) to live like a ?living sacrifice?. The beginning of this role consists in unconditional adhering to God, although He can even appear to be a person´s adversary (like in the case of Abraham and Job). ?Living sacrifice? existence is not a gesture to ?bribe? God, or to dazzle crowds. It is a self-sacrifice originating in faith, that ? both in results and secrecy, manifests itself as a creative and life-enhancing selflessness, referring to God and overcoming evil.

Adoption of euro in Czech Republic - preparedness, risks, perspectives

This thesis concentrates on theoretical postulates of the Optimum Currency Area theory, mentiones preparedness of the Czech Republic in the area of Maastricht criteria, real convergence, alternative adjustment mechanisms, legislative a institucional preparedness, summarizes actual preparatory work and possible scenarios of the euro-adoption, describes opinions of public and entrepreneurs on euro, mentions experience of Slovenia and Slovakia with new currency and recapitulates the risks of procrastination in this area. Main objective is an analysis of the overall preparedness of the Czech Republic to adopt euro.
