Terrain break-lines detection based on Sky View Factor
Englmaierová, Tereza ; Brůha, Lukáš (advisor) ; Bayer, Tomáš (referee)
Terrain Breakline Detection Using Sky-view factor Abstract The subject of this diploma thesis is to propose the procedure of detecting of terrain breaklines using Sky-view factor. The theoretical part of the diploma thesis first introduces the issue of terrain breaklines detection, which presents the methods known to date and Sky- view factor, which is the focal point of the proposed method. Implementation over real data takes place at four locations in the Czechia (Vítkovice, Hradiště, Strnady and Velenka). Data in the form of raster format is tested. At the end, the results of the proposed method and its verification using two selected methods of field edge detection are presented and evaluated. Achieved results point to Sky-view factor for terrain edge detection. Keywords: terrain breakline, digital terrain model, Sky-view factor, detection terrain breaklines methods
Geoinformation system for the visually handicapped
Šupák, Jakub ; Čábelka, Miroslav (advisor) ; Brůha, Lukáš (referee)
Diploma thesis named "Geoinformation system for the visually handicapped" deals with design and creation geoinformation system that should serve to visually handicapped people with planing the most appropriate route and their movement in a city. First part of thesis is a brief summary of who are visually handicapped people, their needs, abilities and principles of movement. Further are described barrier-free adaptations for visually handicapped people and existing solutions. Practical output is the design of an algorithm for automatically locating and evaluating critical locations based on OpenStreetMaps solution. Visually handicapped people choose not shortest route, but the safest route for their movement. Key words: Critical Point, Visual Handicap, Shortest Route, Optimization, Routing
Evaluation of the status and changes the availability of the primary health care of Czechia in GIS
Hořínek, Jan ; Štych, Přemysl (advisor) ; Brůha, Lukáš (referee)
This work is focused on evaluation the status and changes in the availability of primary health care in the Czech Republic. Primary health care in this case is divided into four groups according to specialty and surveyed the availability of the population from the whole republic to these doctors and at the same time the validity of the law which sets the availability of primary health care within 35 minutes. In the first part, individual theoretical parts, which are related to the topic and content of the work, are analysed. The next section describes the collection of used data. Another methodical part deals with data editing and processing. The last part contains the results and the evaluation which are illustrated in graphs as well as described. The graphical output is composed of maps (attachment) that show the local availability of the population to primary health care. The results provide not only the current state of primary health care, but also some estimates, how local availability can evolve over the coming years. The overall results are summarized in the conclusion. Keywords: primary health care, accessibility, network analysis, road network, GIS
Automation of spatial objects modeling in 3D using API of selected modeling software
Mazur, Dominik ; Brůha, Lukáš (advisor) ; Pokorný, Tomáš (referee)
Considering the drudgery related to manual creation of virtual worlds, the opportunity of producing them automatically is too alluring to be dismissed. This bachelor thesis introduces a solution that automates the generation of building's 3D model. The methodological foundation is based on declarative modeling approach and inspired by procedural modeling techniques. Presented work defines the set of rules and parameters. By these means, a faster and more intuitive way to design buildings' models, while preserving the flexibility and control of the user over the construction process, is proposed. The solution is implemented as an add-on for Blender entitled "Buildings generator". The Python scripting, which the add-on is based on, uses the API of open-source software Blender and is available under GNU GPL licence. Keywords: Procedural modeling, Blender, 3D buildings, modeling automation, CityEngine
Automatic generalization of 3D building models
Brýdl, Ivo ; Brůha, Lukáš (advisor) ; Bayer, Tomáš (referee)
The main aim of this thesis is to propose a novel method for generalization of 3D building models with respect to topology in 3D space. The first part gives an overview over spatial data structures and methods for generalization of 3D objects. The second part presents the methodology composed of volumetric mo- del reconstruction, topology validation and simplification of geometry based on mathematical morphology approach to build multi scale model. Method is then implemented and experimental results are presented. In conclusion results are discussed and possible improvements are suggested.
GIS in the pasportisation of municipal property
Derfl, Karel ; Štych, Přemysl (advisor) ; Brůha, Lukáš (referee)
GIS in the passportisation of municipal property Abstract This Bachelor thesis deals with the draft proposal of pasportization of the municipality property on the example of a small village using open source technologies. In the practical part this proposal is applied to a model municipality. In the first instance the municipality's requirements for the content of pasportization are examined followed by the appropriate method of data collection and the process of pasportization itself using the QGIS software. The result of the thesis is the draft for the process of creating digital passports, including the data model and outputs in the form of functional passports. Keywords: passport, GIS, open source, QGIS, municipality
Benchmark methodology of spatial databases
Navrátil, Boris ; Čábelka, Miroslav (advisor) ; Brůha, Lukáš (referee)
This master's thesis deals with comparing the performance of database systems that allow work with spatial data. Performance measurement takes place over data OpenStreetMap. Considerable emphasis is put on the creation of the methodology for database systems efficiency measurement. The methodology is designed for all kinds of database technologiesto ensure its applicability for the next years. The method has been tested on three database systems (PostgreSQL, MySQL and SQLite) and the results are metrically, verbally and graphically evaluated. Keywords: benchmark, testing, spatial database, MySQL, PostgreSQL, PostGIS, SQLite, SpatiaLite, OpenStreetMap, OGC.
Routing algorithms in crisis management
Měchurová, Kristýna ; Brůha, Lukáš (advisor) ; Štych, Přemysl (referee)
Routing algorithms in crisis management Abstract The work describes network analysis usage in the crisis management, concretely, holding an emergency for operation company's critical places. Those critical places are stationed across the whole republic, as well as emergency points that they operate. The work also describes how to minimalize a set of pre-entered emergency points in a way that will also keep all the critical points covered. The next part of the work is an implementation of a tool above chosen GIS, which serves to recognize, which emergency point (of already optimalized set of emergency points) is to be sent to where critical point is while minimizing the disruption of other critical points in the network. The tool also contains graphical output. Keywords: Graphical analysis, location - allocation, GIS
Spatial analysis of medical data
Stramová, Andrea ; Brůha, Lukáš (advisor) ; Martínek, Karel (referee)
Nowadays, all the aspects that can influence the function of the thyroid gland are not known. Since the influence of environment on progression of many diseases is proved, this thesis deals with the influence of environmental parameters on the thyroid function. The purpose of this thesis is to propose a methodology which will describe selected medical data spatially and statistically, reveal regularities in its spatial organization and create the regression model. The special organization of the data is described by the closest neighbour's methodology and by the Local Moran`s I. Then the methodology of O2PLS, which proposes the regression model, is used. There were identified the cluster organization in the vicinity of towns. In the thesis, the regression model, which takes account of the aspects of the environment (the concentration of As, Cd, Pl, Pb and Se in water), was proposed. The influence of the other environmental parameters on the thyroid function was not proved. The thesis is a benefit mainly for the field of spatial data analysis and also for the endocrinological specialization. Owing to this thesis, the process of the way of working with sensitive medical data, that can be used for inferring important information about its connection to the spatial data, was created. Key words: Spatial...
