Comparative performance of late stream inoculants in grey cast iron using thermal analysis

This diploma thesis in the theoretical part deals with classification of cast iron, problems of gray cast iron production, methods of inoculation and valuation of the gray iron quality by means of thermal analysis. The aim of practical part was to investigate effectiveness of inoculation of two different inoculants using thermal analysis. In terms of mechanical properties, hardness and ultimate tensile strength were measured. Metallographic specimen were evaluating by means of image analysis software.

Numerical simulation of mechanical properties of cast irons

Diploma thesis in the first part deals with the production, properties and application of compacted graphite iron. After then calculation model which is used in ProCAST software for the predicting mechanical and structural properties of compacted graphite iron is presented and differences between versions 2010 and 2011 are shown. The last part of the thesis deals with simulation of mechanical and structural properties on the test specimen and real casting, which is poured in Heunisch foundry Ltd. and results of the simulation and measured values are compared.

Actual trends in manufacturing of permanent patterns

This bachelor thesis deals with the more detailed description of various methods employed for the manufacturing of permanent patterns which are used for making of nonpermanent moulds. According to the type of materials the models are divided into the wooden, the metallic, the plastic and the models made from the resin. The work covers the description of handmade manufacturing which is performed either manually (generally in case of wooden models) or by conventional methods of machining. It also includes the CNC machining mostly used for the manufacture of larger models. Further, certain methods Rapid prototyping are described here but these methods are restricted in sizes of future model, as they are used for the models of smaller measurements. Finally, the newer methods including the methods of Additive manufacturing are also described in the work.

The bachelor thesis focus on raising awareness of the company the Foundry HEUNISCH Brno s.r.o. through public relations activities. In this thesis is analyze the current situation in the company and then made suggestions for extension public relations activities. The work is divided into 3 parts. The theoretical part defines the basic concepts of marketing, marketing tools and marketing forms of communication. The second section analyze the current situation in the company and last chapter is focused on the suggestion public relations activities for raise awareness of the company and also for improvement relationship with the public.

Manufacture of compacted graphite cast iron

Compacted graphite cast iron is new kind of cast iron that is applied especially in car industry. It is necessary to optimize metallurgical process of melting and verify technological behaviour of cast iron at loading production. This bachelor thesis describes the properties and known production possibilities of the material.
