Draft dual pressure horizontal waste heat boiler for gas turbine on natural gas

This thesis deals with waste heat boiler for turbines burning natural gas. According to the given parameters of flue gas and vapor are carried out thermal balance and design of the boiler heating surfaces and calculated the dimensions and arrangement of heat transfer surfaces in the boiler followed by treatment with a drawing of the boiler.

The main part of this thesis is the thermal calculation of the boiler. The following part deals with determination of steam amount and steam parametres for blowing through pipes of the boiler.
Increasing of electricity production in BGS using steam engine

This thesis deals with the possibilities of using waste heat for power generation with a focusing on biogas plants (BGS). The produced biogas is mainly used for combustion in cogeneration units with internal combustion piston engines. The first part this paper describes the biogas plants. The division of BGS and the biogas processing is mentioned there. Another part is focused on the combined production of electricity and heat. The principles and description various types of cogeneration technologies are presented here. The following are specific options for waste heat utilization for biogas plants. The last section contains proposals to increase electricity production by the BGS with the steam engine and economic evaluation of these proposals is made.

In the next part there are examples of boilers. The last part is about users of biomass boilers.

The diploma thesis‘ goal is to design shell and tube combustion air preheater for biomass boiler. The diploma thesis also includes the research of the effect of flue gas condensation on boilers power increase. The first part of the diploma thesis is theoretical introduction about types of air preheaters, options of air moisturing and effect of flue gas condensation on boiler. Following part describes the thermal calculations and construction design of air preheater as well as the condensing flue gas power increase and power increase due to humidification of combustion air.
The project to replace gas resource by biomass

This master’s thesis describes the design and calculation of the biomass hot water boiler which should be used for heating of office buildings in a collective farm. Fuel composition was determined by recommended literature. Stoichiometric calculations were processed for the fuel composition. The required boiler heat output was determined and compared with the original gas boiler, which was previously used for heating. The thermal calculation of the boiler and the design of the heat exchanger was also performed.
Conceptual project of coal source reconstruction

The diploma thesis’s deals with the conceptual design of the coal boiler into biomass boiler conversion. The first part of the thesis describes coal as a fuel, also the reasons why are we quitting from it are mentioned here. The next part of the thesis contains a description of the existing coal boiler and a conceptual design of the new reconstructed boiler. Balance calculations are then performed for both sources. The final part of the thesis deals with the comparison of sources based on performed balance calculations.

This bachelor thesis deals with the design of a tube heat exchanger for use of the residual flue gas energy for preheating of combustion air. The thesis contains description, categorization and requirements of tube heat exchangers, stoichiometric calculations, design of geometric dimensions, thermal and hydraulic calculation. The main part of the thesis is the analysis of heat exchanger sensitivity to selected parameters and evaluation of results. The thesis contains a design drawing of the designed exchanger.
Flue gas - water heat exchanger design 2020

The aim of this final thesis is to design flue gas – water heat exchanger with certain power and entering temperatures. This heat exchanger is designed for a gas boiler. From over-view of suitable technologies was selected gasketed plate heat exchanger. Design consists of heat, pressure drop calculation and basic design drawing.
Possible decrease of energy consumption in residence

Thesis deals with the possibility of reducing the energy costs of a typical family house located in Brno. In the first part is a detailed calculation of heat loss of the building, considering heat gain and subsequent quantification of costs for heating, hot water and total annual costs. In other sections provide specific calculation of the economics for the partial implementations of planned procedures leading to a reduction in heating costs (replacing windows, doors, facades and floor ceiling). A calculation for changing the heating method and compared to the existing boiler. A possible reduction in the energy required when using energy from the Sun. In the penultimate section briefly review the options for what you get a subsidy from the grant program "New Green Savings Programme" and reduce the initial investment. Finally the comprehensive proposals of different options exchanges boiler insulation, replacing windows and doors, and the subsequent evaluation of the best solution when investing 350 000 CZK.
