3D simulation toolbox
Matyskiewicz, Jiří ; Babinec, Tomáš (referee) ; Richter, Miloslav (advisor)
This project deals with the design and implementation of the extensible programmable environment intended for the creation of various 3D simulations, specifically targeted for testing of the algorithms and creation of applications from the field of computer vision and robotics. Environment VISIMBOX was implemented in c# programming language and uses OpenGL as back-end for hardware accelerated rendering.
Characters recognizing by artificial intelligence
Možný, Karel ; Babinec, Tomáš (referee) ; Červinka, Luděk (advisor)
This thesis describes problems of character recognition in digital picture and how to solve those problems using artificial neural networks, computer vision and statistical moments. Further it describes design of this network and implementation of solutions in C++ programing language.
Camera calibration by evolutionary algorithms
Klečka, Jan ; Červinka, Luděk (referee) ; Babinec, Tomáš (advisor)
This paper describes the possibility of using evolutionary algorithms (specifically the differential evolution) to figure out interior and exterior parameters of camera. It is an easy and an effective way to solve this problem. Also describe possibility of using graphics processor unit to parallel computing.
Camera stereo-pair for object tracking in 3D
Manga, Marek ; Richter, Miloslav (referee) ; Babinec, Tomáš (advisor)
The first part deals with a design of simple pattern system that would allow tracking position of the object in space. There is described design of patterns and their properties are evaluated in several tests. The second part is devoted to a brief introduction on stereovision and calculation of the spatial coordinates of the object. Furthermore, there is described the resulting application for object tracking. Finally, is done repeabillity measure test.
Camera calibration
Opravil, Jan ; Babinec, Tomáš (referee) ; Richter, Miloslav (advisor)
Imperfection of some lenses used in industrial cameras is distracting. This thesis is concerned with the calibration of cameras with geometric barrel or cushiontype distortion. In the calibrating process is used a function which approximates real lens distortion. To calculate the coefficients of this function the straight line sections in the distorted image are used. Those detected lines play the key role and they ought to have the greatest possible information bias. To enhance the quality of detection are chosen some methods of preprocessing. The algorithms thus created are tested first on an artificially generated calibers and later on real ones. The program is written in C and is using some of the functions of the OpenCV library.
Synthesis of astronomical images
Sauer, Petr ; Babinec, Tomáš (referee) ; Červinka, Luděk (advisor)
The aim of this work is to create a program for fitting astronomical images. The input image is corrupted by atmospheric influences. The work describes the way the alignment and fitting methods. To select appropriately aligned images are used filtration method "Lucky imaging". The program is created in the "Matlab" and is controlled via a graphical user interface.
Object tracking
Sochor, Petr ; Babinec, Tomáš (referee) ; Richter, Miloslav (advisor)
The goal of this thesis is to get familiar with techniques of image processing for computer vision. Functions from OpenCv library were used for corner point location. Furthermore, algorithms designed for identical point location were also used for location of points in sequence of images represented by a video sequence. In the thesis, two techniques were designed for solving this point comparison. Results of these methods are summarized in the end of thesis. Possible solutions of negative properties of these methods are presented.
OpenCV library extension
Prymus, Jiří ; Babinec, Tomáš (referee) ; Petyovský, Petr (advisor)
The thesis deals with OpenCV library and its implementation into scripting languages Lua and Matlab. The first part of the thesis concentrates on description of the OpenCV library and its usage in the course Computer vision. The second chapter examines the programming language Lua and shows its potential in certain tasks. The description of the implementation of binding the OpenCV library to Lua language along with its overall functionality is included in the third chapter of the thesis. The last chapter deals with possibilities of binding CVlib Mex in Matlab environment. A part of the thesis concentrates on implementation of great number of OpenCV functions into Lua language and mechanisms of cross-platform compilation of the project as a whole.
Photogrammetric data storage
Malásek, Jan ; Petyovský, Petr (referee) ; Babinec, Tomáš (advisor)
The Bachelor´s thesis gives us a view of computer vision development and its applications in a real world. It exists many typical tasks of computer vision. This thesis is focused on the scene description of picture information. It describes the most widely used types of relational databases, their advantages and disadvantages. The most important part of the work is a realization of application for photogrammetric data service. It is programmed in C# using Microsoft Visual Studio 2010. The application is based on a relational database system Microsoft SQL Server Compact Edition 3.5.
3D data processing
Babinec, Tomáš ; Janáková, Ilona (referee) ; Richter, Miloslav (advisor)
The thesis falls within the field of computer vision. It describes the development of the software environment for 3D data processing. The thesis deals with the design of C++ classes suitable for scene description and representation of bonding conditions between scenes elements. There is also discussed the solution of camera calibration, geometric distortion identification and 3D coordinates reconstruction. The solving of these tasks is augmented with planarity and linearity conditions, which support projection equations and augment the computational ability of the environment.
