Červený, Rudolf ; Zavázalová, Helena (advisor) ; Býma, Svatopluk (referee) ; Holmerová, Iva (referee)
In his work, the author introduces the reader to the problems of gerontology as seen from the perspective of primary care. He describes the manifold areas where the general practitioner encounters elderly patients. He stresses the risks and pitfalls associated with the conducting of preoperative investigations in the elderly. He also describes the possibilities of pharmacotherapy in advanced age. The author employed the method of retrospective data collection from surgeries to investigate the cost associated with health care consumption by the elderly in two areas in terms of medical procedures by general practitioners for the elderly (preventative checkups, vaccinations, home visits and other) and in terms of cost associated with the prescription of medicinal preparations to the elderly. He found that the anticipated cost as set by the public health-care insurance for consumption of procedures for the elderly is sufficient, while the real expenses for pharmacotherapy are much higher than those set by the public health-care insurance. The author provides his analysis of the possible causes of this situation. The author continues with a description of his scientific research done as part of preventive activity in the surgery for obesitology, as carried out by general practitioner. Author: Helena Kubíková So the first aid isn't the last one… The non-professional first aid the public with specialization for the employees of prison service and the prisoners The aim of my bachelor's work was to study the employees and convicts in this prison and their level of knowledge in giving the first aid - especially in life threatening situations. I would like to find the problems in this matter and suggest possible solutions. For finding the level of knowledge I decided to use a questionnaire. I formed the questions using the specialized literature providing non-professional first aid by the public. The results showed that both enquired groups need to boost their theoretical knowledge and that they need to get more information. Also the right motivation should be used to encourage a moral duty for helping others. Translate : Petra Hokešová

Adamcová, Jitka ; Tůmová, Andrea (advisor) ; Býma, Svatopluk (referee) ; Prchalová, Eva (referee)
The main idea of my work is to give a comprehensive view of education problems and its meaning in secondary prevention of ischemic heart disease. As the education is all life process it isn't possible to find a complex effect upon further development of ischemic heart disease in such a short time. The theoretical part of my work shows the terms as aterosklerosis, ischemic heart disease, risk factors and education. In the next part I try to find out life style of clients (patients) and their knowledge. I use questionnaire. One part of this questionnaire is a small objective inquiry of a nurse. After 2 -3 months I compare the improvement in particular spheres of life style. 50 clients (patients) of a private cardio surgery have taken part in my research. In the end I can say that even if the results of my research weren't 100 per cent positive at all 50 clients (patients), they show unambiguous contribution of the education in secondary prevention of cardio vascular diseases.
