Taking care of an elder relative: options in Russia

The topic of care for seniors considers a variety of aspects related not only to the elderly people themselves but also to their relatives or other caretakers and, usually, to the institutions. Those are, for instance, the institutions providing long-term care at home or in special facilities. In the case of Russia, there are two main dimensions of long-term care for elderly people. The first option is care provided by the state, and the second one is private care provided by non- governmental facilities or by people not belonging to any company. The following thesis aims to research which options for elderly long-term care provided by the state are available for people. The paper consists of an introduction, theoretical framework, methodological part, analytical part, discussion, and a conclusion. Using familisation and defamilisation theory, this thesis investigates and analyses the elderly care options provided by the state in Russia via conducting document analysis. Formal Caregivers in Retirement Homes and Their Role in Fulfilling Wishes of the Elderly

The bachelor thesis focuses on formal caregivers in retirement homes and their role in fulfilling the wishes of the elderly. It describes the system of individual planning and presents its concrete form on the example of a home for the elderly established by the Central Bohemia Region. The case study uses semi-structured interviews with seven formal caregivers of the retirement home and an internal methodology of individual planning. The work captures the attitudes of the caregivers towards individual planning and the ways in which they deal with this task. The analysis demonstrates the importance of collaboration between the home's staff and the role of the individual planning coordinator in managing key workers. Carers' attitudes to individual planning can be classified on a spectrum of subjective rejection/acceptance. This rejection/acceptance is related to perceptions of the benefits and appropriateness of the current form of individual planning. The main problems faced by formal caregivers in individual planning are identified. These include lack of clarity about individual planning and a lack of understanding of its importance not only by caregivers but also by the clients. The presented bachelor's thesis deals with the issue of homelessness in Prague. Specifically, it focuses on the functioning of the Czech social system in relation to homeless people and the strategic concepts of proposals for solving the problem of homelessness in the territory of Prague. Homelessness is a complex social problem that is increasingly pressing in the context of Prague. This is also due to the fact that, to this day, homelessness is not defined in Czech legislation. Some public policy makers believe that the definition is unnecessary, or they refer to gaps in the theoretical anchoring. However, defining homelessness is an important prerequisite for its effective solution. Harmonization of Work and Family Roles - Mothers in the Czech Army and Mothers in the Civil Sector

This thesis deals with the harmonization of the work and family role of the mother, and her position in both the civilian sector and the Czech Army. The theoretical part is an introduction to the issue of the position of women in the labor market. The practical part tries to meet the main goal, and thus is to find out which environment is more advantageous for the role of the mother, ie whether the environment in the Czech Army or in the civilian sector. In the practical part, therefore, a qualitative research survey is conducted, specifically semi- structured interviews with selected mothers working in both the Czech Army and the civilian sector, as well as with selected managers. The work aims to compare in which aspects the civilian environment is more suitable or less suitable for mothers, in comparison with the environment of the Czech Army.
The impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on setting the insolvency law agenda

The diploma thesis "The impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on setting the insolvency law agenda" deals with how the pandemic crisis caused by the COVID-19 disease affected the political agenda in the field of insolvency. It presents the main elements and benefits of the Lex Covid Justice Act, presented by the Department of Justice to prevent debt and the rise of insolvency petitions caused by pandemic measures introduced by the government, such as the closure of several business. The institute of the extraordinary moratorium which was introduced by the Lex Covid Justice Act is described in detail. The thesis uses the theory of setting an agenda with an emphasis on a critical event, the features of which the COVID-19 pandemic had. In the practical part, an expert interview is used to collect data and to comprehensively analyse the benefits of the law, the views of the actors on the institute of the extraordinary moratorium and how the COVID-19 pandemic has affected the issue of insolvency. Emphasis is also put on the actors who deal with the issue of insolvency and what was their attitude to the Lex Covid justice law and what influence they had on setting the agenda. The Problem of Child Mental Health Services Inaccessibility in the Czech Republic

This diploma thesis deals with the issue of inaccessibility of child mental health services in the Czech Republic. Despite the growth of public interest in child mental health the child mental health services face significant structural problems, such as a lack of medical staff, low quality and inaccessibility. On top of that, these problems are getting constantly worse and potentially endanger the entire system of child mental health services with immense negative impact on society. Despite these trends, there is no coherent and systematic policy precisely dealing with the problems in child mental health care in the Czech Republic. The aim of the thesis is to describe particular problems of child mental health services in depth and then explain what caused fact the agenda has not been set yet. Kingdon's Multiple Streams Framework (MSF), together with the concept of public policy actors were applied. The thesis is based on the qualitative research design using the semi-structured expert interviews complemented with the public policy documents study. The Search for the Boundary of Adulthood in a Life-Cycle Perspective

Tato diplomová práce se soustředí na téma přechodu z vysoké školy na trh práce, které je spojené s nabytím plné dospělosti. Nabytí plné dospělosti je dále provázeno překročením dalších tradičních milníků, jakými jsou osamostatnění se od rodiny, a to jak po finanční, tak po residenční stránce. Dále vstup do manželství a rodičovství. Důležité jsou také proměny vnitřního vnímání životní role. Práce je postavena na teorii životního cyklu, jelikož se zabývá fázemi lidského života a dále na Arnettově (2000) teorii vynořující se dospělosti, která předpokládá vznik nové životní fáze mezi adolescencí a dospělostí. Za účelem sběru výzkumných dat bylo uskutečněno 22 rozhovorů s 11 magisterskými studenty v posledním ročníku studia. Rozhovory se konaly ve dvou fázích, jedna před tím, než respondenti ukončili studium a druhá s odstupem asi 9 měsíců. Cílem bylo zjistit, jak respondenti vnímají svou životní roli, co pro ně znamená dospělost a jaké problémy provází překračování milníků tradičně spojovaných s nabytím dospělosti. Respondenti souzněli s konceptem vynořující se dospělosti a úplná dospělost pro ně znamenala zejména přijmout plnou zodpovědnost. Tradiční milníky vnímaly také jako relevantní, vstup do manželství a rodičovství nevnímali jako zásadní pro nabytí dospělosti, ale jako její finální fázi....
