This paper provides a basic overview of documents related to Lusatia (i.e., sorabics) contained in the personal archive file of Adolf Cerny, which is stored in the Archive of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic – above all correspondence with representatives of Lusatian cultural and political life, documents on the Peace Conference, documents of the Lusatian-Sorabic office at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czechoslovak Republic, the European Slavists' Memorandum and photographs of Lusatia and Lusatian personalities.

The contribution gives a summary survey on the development of foreign contacts of the Czechoslovak Academy of Sciences in 1962-1970. It follows numbers of foreign visits of scientific workers to conferences and symposia, study trips and stays and also international collaboration on research projects the same as the stays of foreign scientists at the Academy institutions.

J. Průšek was a prominent Czech sinologist, founder of the Czech sinology, professor and vice-dean of the Charles University in Prague Faculty of Philosophy & Arts, head of the Department of Sinology of the Palacky University in Olomouc Faculty of Philosophy & Arts, for many years director of the CSAS Oriental Institute and member of many Czech and international societies of sinology and other scholarly organisations.
Project Economic and Social History of World War

Paper treats of a project of the Carnegie endowment for international peace. The contents of the project was to be a publication of the extensive undertaking Economic and Social History of the World War. The intended collected work was to be devoted to economic and social influences of the Great War in sixteen European countries, incl. Czechoslovakia. The project began to be realized from 1920, and more than 200 researchers participated in it. From the Czechoslovak part only one volume, Alois Rašín, dealing with financial policy of Czechoslovakia, was issued.
