Nanodevices on graphene prepared by AFM mechanical lithography
Study of Water Meniscus Formation between the AFM Tip and NaCl Surface
Švarc, Vojtěch ; Spousta, Jiří (referee) ; Bartošík, Miroslav (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis deals with the study of water meniscus formation between the AFM tip and NaCl surface. This is an indirect method for the study of meniscus by observation of holes and hillocks created on the NaCl surface, in dependence on the relative humidity, cleaning the tip, time of keeping the on the surface apllied voltage tip-surface.
Selective hydrogenation/Oxidation of CVD graphene using AFM
Přikryl, Vojtěch ; Švarc, Vojtěch (referee) ; Bartošík, Miroslav (advisor)
Graphene is a perspective material for utilization in electronics due to its high charge carrier mobility. However, in order to be applicable in practice the bandgap opening is necessary. One way of achieving this is modification of graphene by hydrogenation or oxidation. This work concerns the possibility of using AFM for local hydrogenation/oxidation of graphene depending on the bias voltage between the tip and the sample. The presence of hydrogenation/oxidation was examined by Kelvin probe force microscopy and Raman spectroscopy. The possibility of oxidation was proved but hydrogenation was not proved.
Development of probes for combined magnetic force microscopy and electron microscopy
Láznička, Tomáš ; Švarc, Vojtěch (referee) ; Pavera, Michal (advisor)
This thesis deals with the production of magnetic probes for Magnetic Force Microscopy. For production, it was necessary to construct a device that can be used to make magnetic probes from commercial AFM probes. The requirements for the holder for deposition are specified, mechanical designs of six proposals which have been improved are discussed and further is described a production of magnetic probes. In a special chapter are shown deposited material on probe tips surface and results of testing magnetic probes.
Shielding Effect of Oxide Isolating Layer on Surface Potential Measured by Kelvin Probe Force Microscopy
Švarc, Vojtěch ; Pálesch, Erik (referee) ; Bartošík, Miroslav (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with the experimental study of shielding effect of oxide isolating layer on surface potential measured by Kelvin Probe Force Microscopy. For the study of surface potential were created Au/SiO2 based nanostructures by Electron Beam Lithography, Atomic Layer Deposition and Multilayer Deposition. Surface potential was measured depending on the relative humidity and thickness of oxide isolating layer.
Fabrication of nanostructures on graphene using AFM mechanical lithography and observation of their electronic response
Belko, Peter ; Švarc, Vojtěch (referee) ; Bartošík, Miroslav (advisor)
Graphene is a suitable material for future sensors and biosensors due to its high sensitivity to the presence of adsorbents, low thermal noise, and biocompatibility. This work focuses on the lateral shaping of graphene on SiO2 using atomic force microscope-based mechanical lithography. The created barriers exhibit resistances on the order of hundreds of G and are applicable for nanosensor fabrication. Charge propagation is studied in this work through concurrent measurements of Kelvin probe force microscopy and macroscopic transport measurements at various humidities, corresponding to real conditions of atmospheric or solution-based sensors and biosensors.
A microfluidic platform for working with biological material
Táto platforma by mala byť schopná efektívne mechanicky rezať bunky v preparátoch červených krviniek a následne ich analyzovať pomocou dvojelektródového elektrochemického systému.
