Reconstruction of the vanished relief in selected areas in Teplicko
Týčová, Adéla ; Štych, Přemysl (advisor) ; Brůha, Lukáš (referee)
The main task of this work was the creation of digital terrain models in vanished areas because of the coal mining and comparing changes in relief. It was created two digital terrain models showing the relief situation in 1950, before the massive mining of brown coal, and in 2010, after the completion of mining. DTM were covered by orthophotos from 1953 and 2011. The entire work of DTM was conducted in GIS. It were created image thumbnails and animations of these models and it was analyzed the changes in relief. Another task was to compare the hydrological conditions in the area that have changed due to the great relief changes. For this purpose it was used hydrological tools as an extension to GIS. The results are the analysis comparing hydrological conditions between 1950 and 2010. As the model area was chosen 4th order catchment area around the vanished village Kocourkov in Teplice region. 4th order catchment area was chosen for better view on changes in hydrological conditions. In the work were used a variety of historical and contemporary sources, such as maps, orthophotos and database of geographic data. Keywords: relief changes, relief reconstruction, DTM, hydrological changes, hydrological tools, GIS

Relationship between morphometric characteristics of the terrain and network analysis in GIS
Kufner, Jan ; Hudeček, Tomáš (advisor) ; Štych, Přemysl (referee)
The main objective of the diploma thesis is creation of methodology and automatization of calibration process of network graph based on the values of morphometric characteristics and motion vectors. The resulting morphometric values of the terrain have been detected on the basis of mathematical and cartographic methods for line course expression. The most accurate one has been used in GIS network analysis over the road network and digital terrain models, which were chosen as the most appropriate for this purpose. Relationship between morphometric values and values suitable for use in network analysis (speed, time, ...) has been studied using specific examples in appropriately selected territory with using selected vehicle, which was designated as a bicycle. The practical part for the verification of functionality of the suggested methodology has been compared with other models of accessibility, available web-map portals and route planners. The process of transport network evaluation based on selected parameters has been automated in Python programming language as a tool in ArcGIS software, which is attached to the diploma thesis. Assessment of forest damage using satellite and lidar data Abstract The main objective of this thesis is to create a methodical procedure used for the evaluation of forest damage in the chosen area of the National Park Sumava, Czech Republic. In this work were combined the multispectral satellite data and data of airborne laser scanning. The forests in this area are heavily damaged mainly due to bark beetle outbreak. You can find here as healthy so damaged forests. Based on this methodology will be differentiated greater number of classes than I found in the literature. In this work was used pansharpened multispectral image SPOT, multispectral image Landsat and airborne laser scanning data with low density points. Another task was to get height information from ALS data in the form of grid. Forest stands were classified using object-oriented classification, which included at first segmentation and then creation of classification base. In classification entered spectral information and height information obtained from the ALS data. Forests were classified into 5 classes and accuracy of both classifications was evaluated using the error matrix and kappa coefficient. SPOT image classification reached kappa coefficient of 68,5 % and Landsat image classification reached kappa coefficient of 72,3 %. From the...
