Research of old rockfalls using LiDAR data

This thesis addresses the issue of detecting and modeling old rockfalls using LiDAR data. The study area chosen for investigation is Dlouhý Důl, located in the České Švýcarsko National Park. The main objective of this research is to map, retrospectively analyze, and model historical rockfall events. To achieve this, a comprehensive workflow for modeling rockfalls using open-source software was proposed and tested. The specific goals of the thesis included processing the laser data to create a point cloud and conducting data quality checks. A crucial aspect was determining the optimal viewing angle for analysis. The software PosPac and RiProcess were utilized for data preprocessing. Another important step was the generation of a Digital Relief Model (DMR), essential for detecting and modeling rockfalls. The point cloud filtering and segmentation were pursued as ancillary objectives and tested using two software applications, CloudCompare and OPALS. For the evaluation and modeling of rockfalls, QGIS with the QPROTO plugin was employed. Additionally, a literature review on the development and methodologies related to rockfalls was conducted. Creation of a virtual tour of the Faculty of Science of Charles University suitable for students with special needs

Bachelor thesis deals with the creation of a virtual tour. It discusses the possibilities of acquiring data for virtual tours, their editing and visualization in a suitable program. The aim of this work is to design and create a virtual tour of Faculty of Science of Charles University for students with special needs, especially for people with limited mobility. The tour was created from 360ř images edited in the Zoner Photo Studio. Created tour is visualized in the 3DVista which was chosen based on the analysis of software for creating virtual tours. The text also dsscusses the importance of of user elements and features of the virtual tour. The output of this work is a complete virtual tour of the faculty with information about barrier-free movement.

4 TITLE: Teaching aids for work with verbs of movement at elementary level in Russian language teaching SUMMARY: This diploma thesis deals with the topic of Russian verbs of movement. The aim of the thesis is to compile a comprehesive set of practical exercises and additional teaching materials (work sheets), which can be used as a supporting material in Russian language teaching. The set of practical exercises and additional teaching material is suitable for students at the age of thirteen years and above. The thesis is divided into two parts - theoretical and practical. The teoretical part defines verbs of movement from a linguistic aspect and generally characterizes the didactic approaches to teaching foreign language grammar. Practical part includes a comprehensive set of practical exercises and additional teaching materials focused on a presentation and practice of selected verbs of movement. Creating a 3D model of the White Tower in Hradec Kralove from terrestrial laser scanning data

This work is focused on processing data of digital terrestrial laser scanning of The White tower in Hradec Králové city and solving the problems closely connected to this. Data was processed in different graphical softwares, which were specialy made for this kind of tasks. During the processing, the softwares were compared according to established criteria. The mos usefull pragram Geomagic Studio 2012 was chosen and 3D model of the tower was made in this. To assess the accuracy of the model, was it measured by yardstick, and model was also compared with buildings plan.
Determination of snow covering using remote sensing data

Monitoring of snow cover extent is an often disscused topic during last ten years, mainly because of the global change of the Earth climate. This work focuses on snow cover mapping using remote sensing data and methods. First the potencial data and methods for determination of snow cover extent are analysed. The problem of snow and cloud distinguishing is also disscused. Based on the example of using data from senzor MERIS and AATSR (Envisat) is illustrated how this data can be used for operational snow mapping purposes in the Czech republic. The decision-tree-algoritm for the detection of snow and clouds was developed. The acuracy of clasificated images is evaluated using comparison with in-situ grand measurament data. Floods monitoring using ENVISAT / MERIS Abstract The object of this research work is to determine the suitability of data MERIS for monitoring floods. This study deals with issues of optical satellite data with medium spatial resolution for monitoring floods. It gives an overview of the use of methods for detection of flooding. Possibilities of data are practically tested on the selected archived data using the ESA of designed algorithm. A partial order is also screening the suitability of data for the Czech Republic. Processing of satellite data was done using free software Beam. Evaluation of possible use for monitoring is done on the basis of the resulting map outputs. Keywords: Floods, Envisat, MERIS
Creating of 3D model of castle Spálené Poříčí

Creation of the 3D model of the castle in Spálené Poříčí Abstract The main aim of the thesis is the gathering and processing of the photogrammetry data and creating of the most realistic model of the chosen objekt as possible. The thesis also deals with issues connected with the gathering and prosessing of data, as well as with problems of surveying and gaining of spacial oriented data. The scaning of the object of the castle in Spálené Poříčí was done, and the realistic model was made in software Photomodeller 6. The surveying of the object was done as well, and thanks to that the coordinates of chosen points and known in S-JTSK coordinate system. These were used afterwards for setting the proportions of the model, as well as for the control and evaluation of results. The model was postprocessed in Google SketchUp 8 Pro. The result is the model of the castle with set size in file format .skp and a few of its visualizations. Using Aerial Photogrammetry in Archaeology

Aneta Kuldanová: Využití letecké fotogrammetrie v archeologii Abstract The diploma thesis presents a potential of the use of aerial photogrammetry and remote sensing for documentation of areal archaeologic objects. The thesis focuses, first of all, on use of the mentioned methods at the Nazca Plate in Peru, where oblique aerial photographs of well- known geoglyphs were taken by non-metric digital camera during the Nasca international research project. The main goal of the thesis is to discover if by using such method we can document the areal archaeologic sites to reach comparable results with data taken by metric cameras. The thesis determines a processing methodics which, with use of the photographs taken by non-metric digital camera, enables to acquire not only contentual but also positional information. The vital steps necessary for securing the required result were the following: elimination of distortion, accentuation of photographs content, photographs rectification and a photoplan created with use of proper masking and mosaicking. Topographic mapping of rock formations usig GIS methods

Topographic mapping of rock formations using GIS methods Abstract This thesis deals with issues of creating 3D models of rock formations with data from terrestrial laser scanning, close range photogrammetry and UAV photogrammetry. The theoretical part focuses on explaining functioning and usage of those methods. Beside that there is described issues of 3D point cloud filtering. Practical part of this work describes data collecting and processing procedure. Further there is proposed filtering process which aim to remove noise points from point clouds and remove vegetation with combination of vegetation index ExG, clustering algorithm DBSCAN and Hough Transform. The proposed method is tested on the selected rock formation in Bohemian Switzerland National Park. The evaluation of the proposed method is based on comparison of models filtered with proposed method with reference models, which are filtered manually.
