Study of hard and abrasion resistant films on surface of nickel moulds
Cerman, J. ; Špatenka, P. ; Stranyánek, Martin ; Čtvrtlík, Radim
The paper is dealing with some possibilities of using hard and abrasion resistant films deposited by PVD technology on less noble materials. The films are tested by some experimental equipment developed by TU Liberec simulated real wear. Contact profilometer is used. Thickness and Berkovich nanohardness are determined.
Properties of TIO.sub.x./sub. films deposited at atmosphere pressure
Sedláková, L. ; Hubička, Zdeněk ; Churpita, Olexandr ; Stranyánek, Martin ; Čtvrtlík, Radim ; Špatenka, P.
TiOx films were deposited on silica glass by RF discharge in atmosphere pressure at low substrate temperature. Some properties of the films were studied depending on annealing temperature after deposition. The thickness, nanohardness, crystallinity and speed of photocatalysis degradation were investigated.

Peterka, F. ; Jirkovský, Jaromír ; Šubrt, Jan ; Špatenka, P. ; Krýsa, J. ; Lukeš, Petr ; Kavan, Ladislav ; Štengl, Václav ; Kolouch, A. ; Klusoň, P.
Current state of art in the research and development of photocatalytic titanium oxide nanosurface materials and their practical applications is discussed. The main objectives of new European COST Action “PHONASUM” (COST 540), which is understand as European platform to group the existing European collaborations and to allow for a large exchange between the different European groups focussing on the development of photocatalytical nanomaterials and standard photoactivity testing methods are presented. Specific aims and scientific results of the Research Centre for Nanosurface Engineering "NANOPIN" established in 2005 under the Research and Development Program of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports of the Czech Republic are shown in more detail.
