Leisure-time Sport Habits in the Context of Family Socialization
Špaček, Ondřej
This paper develops a model of the development of one’s sports habits from the childhood to the early adulthood. It uses data from the representative survey Distinction and Values 2008 of Czech population cohort (1974–1978) to analyse influence of family socialization on shaping one’s habits towards sports participation. The importance of the family socialization environment as the mean of the reproduction of sports leisure time spending is confirmed. The habitualisation through the past sports practice (as indicated by the attendance to the sports club) also highly increases the chance of acquiring habit of sports participation.
Scholastic Presumpttions of Descartes' Proofs of God's Existence in Meditationes de Prima Philosophia
ŠPAČEK, Ondřej
The work deals with the examination of traditional scholastic presumptions, which are contained in Descartes{\crq} doctrine of proofs of God{\crq}s existence formulated in writing Meditationes de prima philosophia. The first part of the work examines two a posteriori proofs. First, they{\crq}re both described and in another part of the work is shown, what traditional presumptions are contained in them. We{\crq}re finding most influences in the domain of causality, where Descartes picks from his ancestors a part of doctrine of simultaneity of causes, per se efficient causes and agrees with theory of imposibility of infinite regress of causes, which in principle even supplements. In the second part of the work, which examines the ontological proof of God, is shown that for clear understanding of this theory is necessary the doctrine of distinction of reason, which was formulated by Francisco Suárez. Without this framework, Descartes{\crq} ontological argument leads to many problems and nonsenses.

Social differentiation of active sport participation in the Czech Republic
Špaček, Ondřej
Active sport participation (as a part of leisure time) is social differentiated activity. High level of active sport participation in higher strata of society is supported by theoretical thoughts and empirical findings. This contribution shows that in spite of the growth of the net level of sport participation in the Czech Republic between years 1984, 1991 and 2007, deep differentiation between different strata persists. Detailed analysis of the current situation considers importance of horizontal and vertical social characteristics of respondents in relation to their sport participation. Age and gender are significant determinants of sport participation, as well as education of respondents and the educational environment of the family of origin (education of father).
Sport as status symbol
Špaček, Ondřej
Sports and physical activites can be linked to stratification system as status symbols. The analysis based on representative survey ISSP 2007 „Leisure Time and Sports“ is focused on position of most common sports in stratification map of the Czech society. Inspite of the most influencing variable in the analysis – demographics (age and gender), importance of social position of respondents can’t be neglected.
