The work contains a description of each type of measurement of disturbances and immunity to both low frequency and high frequency. Bachelor thesis in its practical part deals with the implementation of selected testing according to applicable standards at the premises of the laboratory Institute of Electrical Measurement Electrical Power Engineering FEEC in Brno.
Small Hydropower Plant Project
Košíček, Jiří ; Šlezingr, Jan (referee) ; Radil, Lukáš (advisor)
This bachelor thesis consists of a description of the legislative framework of small hydropower plants, which is necessary to know for their operation and construction. It also describes the general theory of small hydropower plants, specifically describes the individual technical elements - weir, gratings, sluice gates, ambushes, sand traps and stones, open flume, pipes and stilling basin. Another part assesses the economic feasibility of small hydropower plants for specific hydrological conditions and design of turbines on suitable work flow. The main part is devoted to specific proposal small hydropower plants in the village Tulešice by the river Rokytná.
Calculation and design of electric underfloor heating according to CSN
Urbánek, Jaroslav ; Šlezingr, Jan (referee) ; Macháček, Jan (advisor)
This thesis deals with the issue of electric underfloor heating and various types of heating elements such as heating cables, heating mats and heating foils. The thesis also contains elements that are important in the implementation of underfloor heating. Part of this work are listed standards addressing the issue of underfloor heating. In the final part there is a proposal of underfloor heating and photovoltaic system for a family house with the economic evaluation as an integral part of the issue.
Infradiagnostics of Distribution System Apparatus
Kostkan, Petr ; Šlezingr, Jan (referee) ; Drápela, Jiří (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with utilisation of thermovision in the field of diagnostics of equipment and components of the electricity distribution network. The aim of this work is to determine the most troublesome components by using results of individual thermovision measurements. It is achieved by processing data from thermovision measurements and subsequently establishing a database of defects. In the next stage, the most defective components and equipment are analysed and measures aimed to improve reliability and trouble-free operation of distribution networks in the Czech Republic are suggested.
Analysis of Smart Grid devices
Kolacia, Tomáš ; Šlezingr, Jan (referee) ; Radil, Lukáš (advisor)
This work deals with smart grids and smart metering in power grids. The first part of the thesis is focused on the comparison between classic topology of electrical grid and smart grid concept including the benefits, which could be achieved. The other parts of smart grid concept are described as well, such as energy storage and electromobility including charging points infrastructure. The second part of the thesis deals with smart metering devices and it describes routing protocols for smart grids. The following chapters summarize practical experience with addressed issues in Europe and in the Czech Republic. The last part is dedicated to evaluation of smart metering implementation in the Czech Republic.
Design of island photovoltaic system
Halás, Andrej ; Radil, Lukáš (referee) ; Šlezingr, Jan (advisor)
This thesis systematize a design of stand-alone photovoltaic systems, provides a general view of the current possibilities and represents simple and lucid manual for designers. The first part is dedicated to the description of parameters, functions, comparison of the elements of the off-grid system and selection between the most commonly used technologies. The thesis focuses attention on the right selection of appropriate elements to create an effective and safe system. The second part is peripherally dedicated to law related to installation of systems of this type. The result of theoretical practice and the last part is an example of sizing a small island system.
Determination of the energy potential of autonomous object and its use
Dohnal, Josef ; Šlezingr, Jan (referee) ; Baxant, Petr (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor´s thesis is to refer briefly about possibilities of obtaining energy from locally available resources for autonomous object and the definition of the term – an autonomous object. This bachelor´s thesis mentions processes how to gain energy from different sources, possibilities of their implementation (from a legislative perspective) or suggestions on how to save gained energy. We are concerned in the autonomous objects primarily and in the acquisition of heat and electrical energy, so the thesis is also divided into two main subsections dedicated to determining the required amount of the energy that would cover our demand for it. The next section briefly discusses the construction of Savonius wind turbine generator which we can build ourselves. This is a hybrid system that consists of a solar photovoltaic panel and the wind turbine with the appropriate electrical devices. Construction of Savonius wind turbine is documented in the chapter Appendix, where you can find photographs showing construction phases. It should be noted that the construction is not completed and the determination of some parameters were not possible technically at home. These measurements would be flawed. Individual issues are then briefly explained and described how they would be in the ideal case. In conclusion, the procedure for calculating is outlined by the method called NPV (Net Present Value), which is often used.
Electrical machines fault simulator
Krátký, Michal ; Krbal, Michal (referee) ; Šlezingr, Jan (advisor)
The goal of this bachelor’s thesis is the laboratory task focused on vibrodiagnostics of rotating electrical machines. The thesis is divided into theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part is made of information related to rotating electrical machine mainly its faults and technical diagnostics. Besides that the vibrodiagnostics is involved into the theoretical part as well. The practical part deals with the design of laboratory task focused on vibrodiagnostics of rotating electrical machines. There is shown how vibrations influence the machine during the operation. There is used asynchronous machine 1LA7080 and vibrometer MV-5L and noncontact tachometer UNI-T UT372 for this experiment. The second task is the starting current diagnostics. The starting current ofthe engine with the rotor asymmetry 1LA7080 and rotor symmetry 1LA7090 is going to be analyzed here. On these engines will be shown, how current flicks affectthe magnetic field of the engine in the air gap.
Possibility of using LabView for simulation and calculation of the energy balance of a hydrogen-oxygen fuel cell
Fryda, Daniel ; Macháček, Jan (referee) ; Šlezingr, Jan (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the calculation of the characteristics of hydrogen-oxygen fuel cell and their simulation in LabVIEW. It is divided into several parts. At the beginning thesis clarifies the issues of fuel cell and contributes to a better understanding of its activities. It explains what a fuel cell actually is, what is the principle of its work, describes its components, access to its history and its development to the present. Further on the thesis divides fuel cells into the different types and deals with deeper hydrogen-oxygen fuel cell. The fourth chapter is devoted to its use in practice and in laboratory education . Another part is focused on the LabVIEW program where is described the principle, use and basic parts of the program. In the practical part is implemented the model of the laboratory task in LabVIEW program. In chapter no. 6 are developed the operating instructions of the program and described in detail the creation of the model. The aim of this bachelor thesis is creation of an overview of fuel cells, their properties and possibilities of using for practice and laboratory education and then simulation of the laboratory task in LabVIEW program which is based on measured data and the characteristics of the hydrogen-oxygen fuel cell. This laboratory task can be used as teaching material for students in the Department of Electrical Power Engineering.
