Negative Electrode for Sodium-ion batteries
Šimek, Antonín ; Jaššo, Kamil (referee) ; Libich, Jiří (advisor)
This bachelor thesis contains general introduction to the issue of batteries, their basic principles and distribution. It is mainly focused on the research of electrode materials for negative electrodes of sodium-ion batteries, which do not use lithium for their function. Thesis is also focused on lithium-ion batteries, because their development is closely linked to sodium-ion batteries. The practical part mainly contains the synthesis and characteristics of sodium metatitanate, which is used as active material in negative electrode mass.
Negative Electrode for Sodium-ion batteries
Šimek, Antonín ; Bača, Petr (referee) ; Libich, Jiří (advisor)
This master’s thesis is focused on the research of negative electrode materials for sodium-ion batteries. It contains a general introduction to the issue of batteries, their brief historical development, basic operating principles, key parameters and classification. Attention is paid to lithium-ion batteries, which are the most used technology today. Sodium-ion batteries as their potential replacement, especially in the field of energy storage from renewable sources, are based on lithium-ion technology. Promising candidates for the material for the negative electrode of sodium-ion batteries are sodium titanates. Their synthesis and subsequent electrochemical characterization of electrodes using sodium titanate as the active material are included in the practical part of this work.
Methods for the fast detection of water and degradation changes in lithium based electrolytes
Šimek, Antonín ; Čech, Ondřej
This paper deals with lithium-ion batteries, specifically the electrolytes used. The degradation mechanisms oflithium-ion batteries are addressed, with a focus on electrolytedegradation. A considerable part is then devoted to thedegradation of lithium hexafluorophosphate, especially afterexposure to water or moisture. The decomposition of the lithiumsalt is linked to the evolution of hydrofluoric acid, whose influenceon the electrolyte parameters and methods of fast detection is thesubject of the experimental section.
Negative electrode for sodium-ion batteries.
Šimek, A.
This work is primarily focused on the development of negative electrodes for sodium-ion batteries. This type of battery does not use lithium for its operation and could therefore be a promising successor to lithium-ion batteries in selected areas. Particular attention is paid to sodium titanates, which serve as an active material in the negative electrode mass.

Analysis of preparedness of teachers to manage problematic behaviour of children with neurodevelopmental disorder ADHD
Šimek, Adam ; Linková, Marie (advisor) ; Uhlíková, Petra (referee) ; Franiok, Petr (referee)
The aim of Analysis of preparedness of teachers to manage problematic behaviour of children with neurodevelopmental disorder ADHD dissertation was to assess the readiness of primary school teachers to deal with children who have ADHD, or hyperkinetic disorder. Furthermore, it aimed to find out the level of knowledge, information and awareness of this subject. Last, but not least, we wanted to find out whether teachers knew that it is very likely that there is a child with ADHD in their class and how they work with these children. In our research, we confronted up to date theoretical findings given by the science and research with practical findings emerging from questionnaire responses. By doing so we have highlighted an overlooked but at the same time important problem of our current education system. The theoretical resources were solid data regarding the research subject, ADHD, with which we documented the importance of this issue. In the practical part of the research, we concentrated on the teachers' knowledge and their awareness of ADHD and on their experience in everyday routine at primary schools. The researched group consisted of 199 pedagogues from different types of schools and from different geographic parts of the Czech Republic. In our research, we used mixed research. At first,...
