Ensuring and Control of Cutting Tools for CNC Machines
Vašíková, Simona ; Šedivý, Vladimír (referee) ; Jurová, Marie (advisor)
The bachelor’s thesis deals with the methods to ensure and control of a group of cutting tools and analysis of their consumption for production of stainless steel piston rods by the CNC multifunction machine and other additional machines needed for the production of this components. Theoretical bases are elaborated both from a technical and an economic point of view. Several possible solutions to the satisfaction of both business and customers are proposed.
Role of KCNQ channels in response of the pulmonary circulation to hypoxia
Šedivý, Vojtěch ; Herget, Jan (advisor) ; Melenovský, Vojtěch (referee) ; Neckář, Jan (referee)
Reaction of pulmonary vascular bed to hypoxia is different than in systemic vasculature. Acute ventilatory hypoxia constricts pulmonary arteries (HPV), diverts blood to better oxygenated alveoli and optimises arterial pO2. Chronic hypoxia causes pulmonary hypertension (HPH) and exposure to hypoxia at birth (perinatal hypoxia) results in longterm changes of pulmonary vasculature, which makes it more susceptible to develop pulmonary hypertension in adulthood. Reaction of pulmonary artery smooth muscle cells (PASMCs) to hypoxia involves membrane depolarization by inhibition of voltage gated potassium channels (Kv). Among them KCNQ (Kv7) channels have biophysical properties (low voltage threshold for activation and lack of inactivation during sustained depolarization) which suggest them to play a key role in hypoxic response. Specific KCNQ channel inhibitor linopirdine primes HPV in saline perfused lungs, but in not primed lungs does not cause vasoconstriction, it behaves in the same way as acute ventilatory hypoxia. Moreover, in primed lungs linopirdin potentiates HPV and prevents non- specific Kv inhibitor 4-aminopyridine to potentiate HPV. It seems, that KCNQ channel inhibition has a key role in HPV. In rats exposed to hypoxia for 3-5 days (normobaric chamber, FiO2 0,1) we examined relationship of...

Image analysis in an agitated particle - liquid transparent system
Ditl, P. ; Severa, Miroslav ; Šedivý, V.
Large tall vessels with a draught tube are used for the mixing of suspensions especially in cases where high homogeneity and heat tranfer are desirable. The article describes flow behaviour of liquid in the vessel with a draught tube. LDA method (Laser Doppler Anemometry) was used for measurement axial velocity profile. The experimental configuration for LDA method was produced by firm DANTEC. Experimental results are compared with numerical simulation and other experiment.
Pumping capacity and local energy dissipation rate at mixing of low concentrated suspension
Ditl, P. ; Severa, Miroslav ; Šedivý, V.
Present work is taking in account all corrections respecting the properties of additional optical system for perfection of all presiously published velocity data. From the velocity components in all the three directions impeller pumping capacity and energy dissipation rates are calculated.
