New Regionalism in Turkish Foreign Policy

The thesis is divided into 2 chapters which are subdivided into 3 smaller chapters. The aim of the first chapter is to describe the turkish foreign trade based on statistics. Its purpose is to describe in detail the turkish short and long term foreign trade statistics, to describe the tuskish position in Euro-Mediterranean region as well as to describe its position out of this region. The second chapter is aimed to deal with the institutional basis of turkish free zones. The subchapters are divided in the same phylosophy as those of the first chapter -- it means they are divided into Euro-Mediterranean region and the rest of the world. The first part of this chapter is based mainly on The Process of Barcelona, the second part decsribes mainly the relations with member states of BSEC and ECO, and the last part is devoted to the relations with the EU.

Economic and Social Differentiation of Regions in Turkey at the Beginning of 21. Century

The bachelor thesis deals with economic and social differences between regions in Turkey. The aim of the work is to confirm that Turkey is a country with huge regional disparities and to describe and analyze the most problematic areas. The text is divided into three parts. The first chapter compares regions according to selected population, demographic, social and economic characteristics. The second chapter focuses on selected problems of regions. The third chapter analyzes the main reasons and results of regional disparities in Turkey and reveals the most possible perspectives of development in Turkey's regions, regarding to Turkey's candidature into the EU and current economic situation of Turkey.

Process of Institutional Reforms of European Union in Light of its Enlargement

The topic of this diploma thesis is the Process of institutional reforms of EU in light of its enlargement. The thesis is divided into two parts -- theoretical part and practical part. Theoretical part talks about European treaties that founded or reformed five main European institutions -- Parliament, Council, Commission, Court of Justice and Court of Auditors. In separate chapter the thesis talks about Lisbon Treaty and this chapter is followed by description of the main institutions. Practical part was based on original research in which almost two hundred respondents took part and which was focused on the knowledge of respondets of the administration of EU. The results of the research were analysed in form of commented graphs and tables. Based on the research, last chapter provides recommendations that should help increase the knowledge of Czechs of the EU administration.

The mortgage crisis in the USA

This bachelor thesis focuses on a problem of a mortgage crisis present in USA. It presents main problems connected with the current crisis situation at the mortgage market through standards of issuing new mortgages i.e. prime and subprime. It attempts to get closer look at the process of issuing the mortgages and tries analyze the conditions which have led to improper work of the system. Thesis deals also with the questions of appraisal and his/her appraisal standards. These eased appraisal standards of real estates could be considered also as one of the causes of current mortgage crisis. In the end, american companies Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac are presented with their history and current status. To sum up, this bachelor thesis attempts to grant a look at the conditions of both the mortgage and the real estate market and tries to analyze the causes and reasons which led to the contemporary crisis.

Bakalářská práce popisuje a analyzuje situaci v oblasti výzkumu a vývoje Evropské unie. Poukazuje na problémy, s kterými se evropský výzkum a vývoj potýká, srovnává jeho pozici (i pomocí konkrétních ukazatelů) se světovými vůdci v této oblasti, kterými jsou Japonsko a především USA. Dále se snaží zmapovat aktivity EU v oblasti výzkumu a vývoje. Představuje jednotlivé programy a instituce, které již existují nebo mají v budoucnosti vzniknout.

Komparace přístupů členských zemí EU s ohledem na jejich připravovaný vstup do EMU (se zaměřením na ČR)

Proces evropské měnové integrace v podobě eurozóny je dlouhodobý proces a přístup jednotlivých členských zemí je značně odlišný. Cílem této diplomové práce je porovnat dnešní situaci v jednotlivých 10 nových členských zemí EU (České republice, Estonsku, Kypru, Litvě, Lotyšsku, Maďarsku, Maltě, Polsku, Slovensku a Slovinsku) týkající se budoucího přijetí eura, tzn. jak plní maastrichtská kritéria a v jaké fázi praktických příprav na jednotnou evropskou měnu se nacházejí. Práce je nejvíce zaměřena na aspekty přistoupení ČR k eurozóně.

Itálie v procesu formování Evropské měnové unie

Diplomová práce se zabývá procesem formování Evropské měnové unie od počátku samotného integračního procesu v Evropě a úlohou Itálie v tomto procesu. Naznačuje hlavní charakteristiky země, které později podmínily pozici a zájmy Itálie, které prosazovala při postupném vytváření měnové unie. Na druhou stranu ukazuje, jakým způsobem a do jaké míry má evropská měnová integrace vliv na Itálii a její hospodářství. Hlavním cílem práce je zjistit jakou úlohu Itálie v tomto projektu hrála a zda současná podoba integrace je pro ni výhodná.
