Control of lab models using PLC
Vobejda, Lukáš ; Šťastný, Ladislav (referee) ; Štohl, Radek (advisor)
This work deals with the control of lab models using PLC Rockwell Automation. As well as the use of CompactLogix, RSLogix 5000 programming environment, RSlinx Classic communication environment and software for process visualization such as FactoryTalk View Studio. The first part deals with the description of the models and their connection to a PLC environment. The second part describes and compares programming languages (ladder diagram, function block diagram and sequential function charts). The last part deals with the visualization of both models in FactoryTalk View Studio.
Zero-Cross Detection for Time Synchronization in the Environment of PLC Communication
Šťastný, Ladislav ; Steinbauer, Miloslav (referee) ; Vozňák, Miroslav (referee) ; Fiedler, Petr (advisor)
The doctoral thesis proposes a synchronization event detection method suitable for establishing a common time base across devices using power-line communication. The technique facilitates the creation of a synchronization procedure for smart grid terminal devices, thus bringing to the low-voltage segment new functionalities already known from the higher voltage levels of the distribution network. High-precision, zero-cross line voltage detection was employed as the synchronization event. The use of the PLL (phase-locked loop) was considered and analyzed as a potentially applicable option; however, such a solution proved to be insufficiently robust against interference. Further, an FFT-based approach was designed and reviewed. The technique performs zero-cross detection, but only for the fundamental harmonic component that remains the same across the entire network. The influence of incoherent sampling on the FFT, too, was tested during the development of the method; in this context, coherent sampling was found to constitute an essential prerequisite for accurate detection as it allows us to eliminate the spectral leakage error. The impact of an AD converter on the detection accuracy was also evaluated. The proposed approach ensures the accuracy required for all common measurements and operations to improve the production, distribution, and consumption of electricity through smart grids.
Implementation of a maintenance system in the manufactoring execution system COMES
Žilka, Filip ; Šťastný, Ladislav (referee) ; Pásek, Jan (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis deals with maintenance systems. In the beginning part of the thesis there is a briefly introduction to automation with a description of systems which are part of automation pyramid. The emphasis is on MES systems from which MES system COMES, developed by COMPAS company is described. The next section is an intruduction to maintenance with a description of information technologies in maintenance and commonly used systems of maintenance, installed in industrial companies. The very last section deals with own system of maintenance which was created as an extension in module COMES Modeller.
Matrix display
Gábik, Matej ; Šťastný, Ladislav (referee) ; Bradáč, Zdeněk (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is to implement autonomous information portal using matrix display BUSE BS210. The first part deals with the theoretical problem-solving and management options display. The second part is dedicated to the development of necessary hardware and the last part is the software described herein microcontroller and microcomputer Raspberry Pi.
Wireless M-Bus communication system
Baštán, Ondřej ; Šťastný, Ladislav (referee) ; Fiedler, Petr (advisor)
The thesis deals with the design of wireless communication system using Wireless M- Bus, which works in the 169 MHz band. This system is designed to collect data from meters that are not equipped with a radio and have pulse outputs. The thesis describes the Wireless M-Bus standard and the current components of the communication system used by ModemTec. It also describes the selection and design of a suitable hardware implementing the receiver and transmitter modules and the firmware design for these modules. The thesis deals with the parameterization of the transmitter module in order to specify the parameters of the transmitted measured quantity.
Home security system - base board power supply
Peša, Ondřej ; Šťastný, Ladislav (referee) ; Fiedler, Petr (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis deals requirements for alarm system power supplies and includes familiarization with the issue of charging lead-acid batteries and an explanation of the basic principle activity step-down switched – mode power supply. The main goal of this project was to design and implement a functional model of the power supply with lead-acid battery. The power supply includes a battery charger circuit, which when accompanied by a power failure back-up and circuit protects the lead-acid battery against deep discharge UPS is in normal operation continuously charged. The proposal was developed in the program for PCB design Eagle 6.1.0. Functional model was implemented in a single PCB, which together with the battery and transformer were placed in the box.
Configuration and diagnostics for Smart Grid
Hrbek, Martin ; Šťastný, Ladislav (referee) ; Franek, Lešek (advisor)
This thesis designs a solution for configuration and diagnostics for the Smart Grid. It creates use case diagram for configuration and diagnostics and designs individual software modules of the system. The thesis informs a developer about suitable devices for configuration and diagnostics for the Smart Grid, especially about rugged handhelds. The thesis chooses suitable software tools for development of designed modules and contains recommendations for developers, how to use this tools. The realization of one of the designed modules verifies the correctness of the designed solutions and approaches.
Pump Control System
Streit, Jakub ; Šťastný, Ladislav (referee) ; Bradáč, Zdeněk (advisor)
The goal of this thesis is design of universal system for motor control. This device must be able to control at least 4 motors, stepper motors or DC motors. Wired, or wireless communication, using IEEE 802.15.4, is mandatory. The System is based on modular concept. The Basic modules are Control module, Communication module, Connection module and Power module. The system was tested in the control of fertilizer dosing pumps in the greenhouse
