Comparison of divorce rate in Europe Abstract The aim of this thesis is describe the main trends of divorce rate in countries of Europe between years 1980 and 2012. This thesis is focus on the analysis of the divorce rate selected indicators in seven European countries from a half of 20th century to 2012. Also the thesis provides a summary of an availability of divorce rate data in three international data sources. There is description of development of divorce legislation in Europe and its influence on the intensity of the divorce rate. The analysis did not demonstrate distribution of Europe to East and West by the intensity of divorce. The divorce rate in Europe is mainly influenced by societal and social factors such as the degree of religiosity of the population. The countries with highest total divorce rate are in 2012 Belgium and Sweden among the selected countries and the country with the lowest total divorce rate is Italy. Social and demographic characteristics of the urban population of Prague and Bratislava in terms of type of building Abstract The objective of this thesis is to discover and to analyze socio-demographic structure of the population of Prague and Bratislava. The first part of the study presents the basic information about the historical, administrative and demographic development of the selected regions. There are also introduced numerous researches and the concepts of the internal structure of cities. There are created socially and demographically different parts of the cities through the methods of principal component analysis and cluster analysis. These regions are also different due to their population development, which is described between 1996 and 2010. The analysis showed that there are almost the same areas in both cities where we can observe very similar trends of the processes of fertility, mortality and migration. There are also identified the differences between persons living in a diverse type of building according to their gender, age, education, marital status and health. This thesis shows the opportunity to use data from different disciplines, especially demography, social geography and sociology. Comparison of pension systems in Czechia and Denmark

Comparison of pension systems in Czechia and Denmark Abstract The main of thesis is to contribute to discussion on pension systems and their reforms with a focus on Czechia and Denmark. The Danish pension system is considered as the best in the world, that means it could serve as a model for the reform of the Czech pension system. The paper describes the general types of pension systems used worldwide and in more detail Czech and Danish pension systems. The second part introduces the expected population development of both countries in 2080 according to the projection EUROPOP 2013. In the analytical part of the paper are used two different models to calculated potential numbers of pensioners in 2075 and subsequently old dependency ratio. Both of models suggest a higher old dependency ratio in Czechia than Denmark.
Demographic development of large Czech cities in terms of population

Demopraphic development of large czech cities in terms of population Abstract The aim of the presented thesis is to describe and evaluate the demographic development of selected Czech cities (Prague, Brno, Ostrava, Plzeň, Liberec, Olomouc). The thesis focuses on the period in years 1996-2012. In the theoretical part, the population development of the Czech Republic from the beginning of the 1990's and the changes in the demographic behaviour of residents are described, the impact of the demographic revolution on this evolution is clarified, the criteria for determining large cities in terms of population and their brief socioeconomic characteristics are explained. In the second part, the development of these cities, based on available data, is analysed by chosen demographic indicators and the differences in their development are compared. From the analysis, we can see, that all of the cities develop demographically in a similar way. Only Ostrava and partly Prague vary significantly by its development. The Euroregion Erzgebirge/Krušnohoří and the Euroregion Elbe/Labe at the beginning of the 21st century

The Euroregion Erzgebirge/Krušnohoří and the Euroregion Elbe/Labe at the beginning of the 21st century Abstract The objective of this study is to evaluate the contemporary status of the population, which live in two analyzed Euroregions - Euroregion Erzgebirge/Krušnohoří and Euroregion Elbe/Labe. The demographic trends are compared in the individual districts of the Euroregions, between Czech districts and German districts in one Euroregion and the compare of two Euroregions as a whole. For comparation of development indicators of mortality, fertility and migration are used. In the first part, the creation and the geographic description of both Euroregions are briefly explained. Basic principles of Czech-German border cooperation follows. In the next part, the calculations of demographic indicators are made. Differences of the population structure between two neighboring Euroregions are evaluated in the conclusion part.

Population development in the the Political District of Kolín in the period of 1880-1910 Abstract The aim of this thesis "Population development in the the Political District of Kolín in the period of 1880-1910" is to analyse population development in the district's area in the period of 1880-1910. The demographical transition continued in Bohemia until the end of 19 th century with changing populations and reproductive behaviour. The political district of Kolín belonged among Czech areas with fairly early asserted changes. That was because of the regions economical maturity and also closeness of Prague, whence these new tendences of reproductive behaviour spread.
