Analysis of friction welding in the automotive industry
Čurda, Jakub ; Slováček, Marek (referee) ; Kubíček, Jaroslav (advisor)
This thesis focuses on aplication of friction welding in automotive industry, namely in the production of radius rods used in axels of heavy duty commercial vehicles by the THK RYTHM AUTOMOTIVE CZECH, a.s. company, and the verifycation of preperties of the weld. The breakdown for the rod consist of all the information on the manufacturing of the components the rod consist of, as well as information on the welding process. The theoretical part of this thesis focuses on analysis of friction weding and its mechanisms, with emphasis on the evolution and application of this style of welding. Main focus of the experimental section is verification of mechanical properties of the weld, this is done using a tensile strenght test, microscopic observation and hardness mesuring. The data collected using these tests is then utilized to form a conclusion on the practical application of this method and the friction welding process.
Runoff regime in the Vydra River headstream area with respect to flood episodes assessment
Čurda, Jakub
Runoff regime in the Vydra River headstream area with respect to flood episodes assessment Abstract This diploma thesis summarizes knowledges about the Vydra river headstream area runoff regime with special respect to formation and course of flood situations. The main focus is concentrated on explanation of runoff extremity relation to physical-geographic conditions of each catchment. Special emphasis is in this term adverted to peatbog hydrological function assessment. Thesis is based on data acquired during more than three years field survey which was realized in this area by the Faculty of Science, Department of Physical Geography and Geoecology.
