Web portal for the video transmission from IP cameras
Čučka, Milan ; Doležel, Radek (referee) ; Zeman, Václav (advisor)
This work is about methods for transferring an image from the web cameras, IP cameras and the creation of a live transmission of television cameras with streaming server and subsequent placement on the web. The first part deals with basic methods of webcam image transfer. This information is described in detail, in next section. The third section describes using of IP cameras for live broadcasts or transmission to a common frame. The last section describes creation of a streaming server and the process of creating a live transmission. There are the advantages and disadvantages of each technology. At the end of the work is given the most frequently used multimedia data formats.
The Point-by-Point fiber diffraction structures
Valášek, Martin ; Čučka, Milan (referee) ; Urban, František (advisor)
The diploma thesis described the basic principles and characters of the long period fiber gratings (LPFGs). Our concern was to describe basic mathematical description of these gratings needed to their modelation and simulation. Consequently some exact models leading to changes in the shape of the spectrum LPFGs were suggested, these methods were the chirping, apodization and changes in the average refractive index navg. In the Matlab environment, programes for counting the important parametres LPFGs were created and meanwhile each model leading to the change in the shape of the spectrum was simulated.
Sensor based on a fiber optic interferometer
Rozsypal, Filip ; Dejdar, Petr (referee) ; Čučka, Milan (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with comparsion of 2x2 and 3x3 couplers. There is also description of issue of the Michelson interferometer and its use as a sensor. This sensor is very good at detecting vibrations. Part of the work is description of simulation of Michelson interferometer with 3x3 coupler as vibration sensor and localization of vibration on optical fiber by Michelson and Mach-Zehnder interferometer.
Simulation of fiber-optic components for fiber optic sensors
Jakoubek, Petr ; Urban, František (referee) ; Čučka, Milan (advisor)
This diploma thesis describes the function of commonly used elements among optical network, with an emphasis on fiber optic sensors. The basics of optical transmission and types of fibers are described, in addition to active and passive optical components, optical splitters and couplers. Optical fiber sensors are divided in two groups: intrinsic and extrinsic. Interferometric types of sensors are described in detail. The thesis compares theoretical assumptions and practical measurements of two serially-connected couplers. A~new module fulfilling real optical coupler function was made using Matlab. This module can be implemented into the VPIphotonics library. Finally, interferometric function of two serially-connected couplers was tested.
Distributed temperature sensor
Holík, Tomáš ; Čučka, Milan (referee) ; Münster, Petr (advisor)
Distributed temperature sensors are currently widely used. They are used for measuring temperature using optical fiber. DTS systems measure the temperature along the optical fiber. Optical fiber is used as a direct source of information, not as a carrier. That is, optical fiber is used as a sensor measuring the temperature. This work includes designs of the measuring system DTS using Raman scattering and Mach-Zehnder modulator in a single-mode fiber.
Optical fiber sensor based on Michelson interferometer
Kopáč, Ondřej ; Grenar, David (referee) ; Čučka, Milan (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with description and simulation of Michelson unbalance interferometer and description of fiber optic sensors. The simulation is realized by MatLab. The thesis also described basic optical phenomena, types of optical fibers and two types of interferometric detection. The thesis also deals with description of measurements and their results.
Possibilities Lending to Company by Choosen Bank and Non-bank Entities
Šprta, František ; Čučka, Milan (referee) ; Rejnuš, Oldřich (advisor)
The Bachelor thesis is focused on the comparison of commercial banks and non-banking credit companies in term of the supply of business loans to businessman. The comparison is performed based on an analysis of the supply of business loans provided by subjects selected out of the Czech financial market. Selected loans will be compared by selected criteria. The result is a selection of the most favorable loan for specific company.
Optical fiber point sensors
Okoun, Petr ; Čučka, Milan (referee) ; Urban, František (advisor)
This diploma thesis analyzes a structure of spot optical sensors with longitudinal grid and multiple Bragg grating and possibilities of spot optical sensors use and implementation in the industry. Basic principles of light propagation through optical environment are described in the introduction part, followed by description of phenomena in optical fibers and sensors. The distribution of fiber optic sensors and the use of optic fiber in spot mode is described further. The optical sensor system is designed on the basis of analysis with description of its construction at the end of this work. A significant part is devoted to the analysis of longitudinal structures in the fiber in response to multiple Bragg gratings, their subsequent manufacture and suggestion of use in sensors industry.
Modern video codecs
Bílek, Jan ; Čučka, Milan (referee) ; Číka, Petr (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis focuses on modern video codecs and its output video quality assessment. Firstly, principles of some objective and subjective assessment methods are explained. Afterwards, the most common video codecs are introduced, namely H.264, H.265, VP8, VP9, Dirac~2.2.3, WMV and Sorenson Spark. The outcome of this thesis is a desktop application named VideoCodecs written in C++ language, which uses ffmpeg library for encoding and decoding tasks. As a part of the application, algorithms PSNR, SSIM and M--SVD for objective video quality assessment were implemented. Furthermore, a simulation of transport channel was included, enabling us to bring errors into provided video. Using this application, video quality measurements were carried out, on four test sequences in HD resolution at several bitrates. According to our results, the best video codec regarding the video quality is H.265 before H.264, VP9 and VP8.
Fiber optic interferometry
Srnský, Petr ; Urban, František (referee) ; Čučka, Milan (advisor)
The aim of the diploma thesis is theoretical analysis of optical fiber sensory sensing using coherent and incoherent interferometry, creation of simulation models of interferometers and their practical measurement. The first part deals with the description of basic physical principles and interferometers. In the second part the thesis deals with the description and design of optical microphones, which are based on the principles of physical interferometers Michelson and Mach - Zehneder interferometer. Both models are simulated in the VPIphotonics simulation environment. In the third part of the thesis, both models are assembled and measured. The last part of the thesis presents the differences between the interferometers and the results of the measurements.
