Ambulatory ECG Holter Monitor
Majerík, Peter ; Strašil, Ivo (referee) ; Číž, Radim (advisor)
The thesis deals with design of the device for monitoring four signals from the probes for scanning ECG, PPG and heart pressure. The thesis is mainly focused on hardware design of the device and the most important part is the selection of the storage media to which will be the data recorded and the selection of the microprocessor which has to be able to meet the requirements of the device. For the data recording is used SD card and the ARM based MCU was selected from the AT91SAM7S series. This thesis also deals with the software design for MCU which is needed to launch the device and with design of PC applications used for setting the device and for downloading the measured data. At the end there are presented results of the constructed device.
Turbo codes and their applications in transmission technologies
Kuvik, Michal ; Číž, Radim (referee) ; Šilhavý, Pavel (advisor)
Purpose of this work is to clarify problems of anti-error security with the help of turbo codes. This work can be divided into two parts. In the first part we look at the theoretical aspect of features of turbo codes, their coding and at various approaches of decoding secure messages for example SOVA and MAP, also at analyzing usage of turbo codes in promising transmission technologies. Second part is focused on creating an application with the help of software Matlab and on verifying attributes of this method in this software.
Electronic thermostat
Flek, Tomáš ; Číž, Radim (referee) ; Lattenberg, Ivo (advisor)
In essence, this thesis focuses on a search for an optimal measuring method suitable for converting a temperature measurement into an electrical signal that can be processed easily in the other parts of the electrical circuit. The selection of the measurement method was guided by the need to find one suitable for the temperature range in question. For each method there are different temperatures sensors, each with different parameters. This thesis covers in detail the various kinds of temperature sensors and notes their advantage and disadvantage, accuracy, repeatability, non-linearity, longevity, and purchasing price. The thesis also investigates how to cope with non-linearity of the selected temperature sensor while also listing various methods for non-linearity compensation and their effect on the overall measuring. A part of the thesis presents a design of a suitable thermostat that was selected on the basis of this work to provide suitable measuring properties and be most cost effective.
Laboratory Device for Measuring Headphones
Holub, Kamil ; Číž, Radim (referee) ; Schimmel, Jiří (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis deals with the design and assembly of headphones test fixture. The introduction describes the types of headphones, their classification in terms of design and their typical specifications followed by a description of instruments for measuring headphones, defined by standards ČSN EN 60318 and their classification in terms of design and use. The following part is devoted to a design of a test fixture, which is subsequently put together using 3D printing. As part of the thesis, the measurement of frequency response and input impedances of various headphones is performed on the fixture. These are then compared with measurements on professional measuring devices. In the last part is described a laboratory task, which includes the measurement of headphones using this test fixture.
Device localization using BLE packets
Tsevelnyam, Amgalanbayar ; Číž, Radim (referee) ; Sysel, Petr (advisor)
Master’s thesis is about indoor localization of objects or persons using Bluetooth Low Energy. The outcome of this work is determining the accuracy of a localization method One Nearest Zone on density of the localization network, implementing the Trilateration method and also determining the accuracy of this localization method on density of the localization network.
Software for Communication with GPS Receiver
Vrba, Pavol ; Daněček, Vít (referee) ; Číž, Radim (advisor)
The main goal of this master’s thesis is to over study, reconsider and make a program, which will be capable to interpose information from GPS module, different markers and necessary information’s, geographic coordinates obtained from GPS will be projected in its interface and also on map. This project contains of 3 parts. The first one exactly describes GPS, its history, structure, principle, competitive types of navigations systems and also GPS’ services and technical parameters. The second part of this project describes GPS hardware, used receiver of this signal. There is also mentioned its technical parameters and communication with outside world. The third part is in scripted the software for communication with GPS receiver. We can also see the description of code, in which is mentioned communication protocol and imaging the position on the map. It was programmed in C# language on platform Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 Express Edition.
Demonstration set for basic keying techniques
Žlebek, Lukáš ; Šilhavý, Pavel (referee) ; Číž, Radim (advisor)
This thesis concerns itself with construction of a set of laboratory products, used for demonstrating the basic methods of digital modulation. The primary product, is a generator of carrier and keying signals, which generates cyclically repeated data, and a carrier signal. Another two products are ASK and BPSK modulators. The theoretical part of this thesis describes a basic summary of different kinds of modulation and the design of all the product prototypes themselves. The practical part proves the functionality of individual components of the generator and the functionality of the modulators. In the last part of this thesis, there is a proposal of the laboratory task and its sample solution.
Digitally-controlled dual-axis positioning rig for digital camera
Hrubý, Michal ; Číž, Radim (referee) ; Hanák, Pavel (advisor)
This thesis introduces the construction design of two-axis positioning device to be used as panoramic head. Theoretical part explains parts of the device and in the practical part is the device assembled. The result is a complete positioning device for digital camera Canon EOS 500D and for similar camera.
VDSL2 vplus and G.fast technologies and their testing
Vehera, Vladyslav ; Číž, Radim (referee) ; Šilhavý, Pavel (advisor)
This semester work focuses on the basic characteristics of the VDSl2 and G.fast technologies that allow to transfer data using old telephone lines. The theoretical part of the work describes the main parameters of all currently known profiles for VDSL and G.fast. There is also a description of DMT modulation, used in both types of DSL connections. Moreover, the theoretical part presents a vectoring technique that helps to increase the data transfer rate using a twisted pair. The work also provides methods for testing networks using the recommendations of RFC 2455, ITU-T Y.1564 and RFC6349. The practical part of this thesis contains all conducted tests and measuring, which were described in detail. The results od these tests were presented in the format of graphs and tables.
Demonstrational programs for music record processing
Jonáš, Petr ; Rajmic, Pavel (referee) ; Číž, Radim (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis describes the processing of music records and signals. Demonstration programs were created in Matlab. In this thesis were created function of equalization, transposition and sound effects. In this thesis was created application for determining the similarity of signals. For both programs was created graphic user interface.
