Recovering of Viticulture Wastes Into Value-added Products.
Topiař, Martin ; Zachová, Zdeňka
Viticulture has a very rich tradition in the Czech Republic, especially in South Moravia. During the production of wine, as in any other industry, different types of wastes are produced. These are, for example, the remains of must-pressing, the so-called grape marc, which is usually used on the compost or the wood mass produced by the pruning of the vineyards, called grape cane, which are pressed into wooden briquettes. Within our project, we are dealing with the possibilities of combining extraction techniques for the treatment of grape marc and grape cane in order to obtain extracts rich in biologically active substances (resveratrol, viniferine).

Transport Biofuels and Their Perspectives.
Kaštánek, František ; Maléterová, Ywetta ; Hanika, Jiří ; Kaštánek, P. ; Šolcová, Olga
There are discussed already applied procedures or procedures verified in pilot scale and only in laboratory scale. Essentially, transport biofuel technologies can be considered: Hydrolysis and fermentation of lignocelluloses to lower alcohols, transesterification of oils, production of liquid biomass pyrolysis product, so called bio-oil as the main product in addition to bio-coal and pyrolysis gases, gasification to produce synthesis gas followed by catalytic production of gasoline and naphtha hydrocarbons\n(Fischer-Tropsch synthesis), transformation of a system of chemical compounds obtained from bio-oil into hydrocarbons by catalytic hydro deoxygenation and /or hydrocarbons obtained directly from the biomass by catalytic hydro deoxygenation.

Novel CO2-Selective Blend Membranes Based on Polyvinylalcohol (PVA) and 1-Ethyl-3-Methylimidazolium Dicyanamide ([emim][dca]) Ionic Liquid for Effective CO2/H2 Separation.
Setničková, Kateřina ; Lanč, M. ; Klepič, M. ; Friess, K. ; Izák, Pavel
This study confirms the positive effect of ionic liquid content in neat polymer on mix gas (CO2/H2) separation. The sorption of CO2 increases with increasing content of [emim][dca] in PVA polymer membranes. The sorption of H2 was negligible in all measured membranes even with highest content of [emim][dca] in PVA. All single gas permeation experiments clearly show increasing permeability of CO2 and H2 with increasing content of ionic liquid in studied polymer. During separation of both gasses, the solution diffusion mechanism is applied. Based on these results we can state that with higher content of [emim][dca] in PVA permeability of both gasses and also ideal selectivity increases. This observation shows a potential of IL where is higher sorption of CO2 than in polymer as good separation medium for CO2/H2 separation.
