Crime culture of the 1990s and its actor reflection
Zajíčková, Tereza ; Wohlmuth, Petr (advisor) ; Houda, Přemysl (referee)
The thesis aims to interpret the actor's reflection on crime in the 1990s. It will focus on the perception and subjective interpretation of crime, which predictably increased in intensity after the collapse of the socialist regime. This socio-pathological phenomenon, typical of post-communist states, necessarily had an impact on the cultural and social development of the time, which is also reflected in contemporary popular art. The diploma text generally subscribes to the new cultural history and uses oral history as its primary method. The research will use newly acquired oral history narratives from several categories that represent actors in the context of the phenomenon in question - justice, prison, police, etc. In the context of pre-defined contemporary cultural categories, the thesis will attempt to interpret their subjective experience of the phenomenon. Key words: Crime, Criminality, Cultural History, Oral History, ActorReflection

Zajíčková, Tereza ; Štefek, Martin (advisor) ; Doubek, Vratislav (referee)
State versus Church - church Policy of the Communist Party of Czechoslovakia in Příbram Abstract The bachelor's thesis aims to analyze the issue of state institutions in relation to the church during the years 1948 to 1953 in the town of Příbram. Thanks to the Roman Catholic parish near the Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary, known as the Holy Mountain, the region was and still is an important ecclesiastical, especially Catholic, pilgrimage center, but religious life was varied. For this reason, state intervention was necessary due to the philosophy of the ruling party. The work will focus on the steps taken by the state authorities in the fight against the church life in Příbram. The work will primarily be based on the analysis and interpretation of archival documents, especially on the records of the district church secretary working within the district national committee of the Communist Party of Czechoslovakia in Příbram. Key words: church, church policy, Czechoslovakia, communist party of Czechoslovakia, Communist Party, Příbram
The specifics of nursing in the treatment of pain in patients after cardiosurgical operations
ZAJÍČKOVÁ, Tereza
Pain is a phenomenon perceived as an undesirable experience of physical and mental suffering that we want to avoid at any cost. It is common and expected though that during surgeries patients experience pain due to interrupting the integrity of skin and hypodermis by originating a surgical incision. Complex cardiac surgeries, which usually take several hours and create large cuts, require effective analgesic treatment during postoperative recovery ensuring proper pain relief. This bachelor thesis aims to examine the specifics of nursing within analgesic treatment of patients´pain after cardiac surgeries. A theoretical part focuses on general findings about pain, the ways of pain evaluation, the specifics of postoperative pain. This part also introduces the most common cardiac surgeries and pharmacologic and nonpharmacologic pain treatments. A practical part of the thesis consists of a quantitative research applying semi-structured interviews with ten nurses and ten patients of a cardiac surgical ward. Results show that nurses discover certain specifics in providing pain relief while nursing patients after cardiac surgeries. The research concerns not only with treatment of the pain from a surgical incision, but with treatment of secondary types of pain as well: back pain, painful cough, pain caused with a chest tube. In the interviews, nurses and patients identified a postoperative pain similarly, they identically described pain evaluation executed by nurses, and agreed on high standards of analgesic treatment on this specific ward. The bachelor thesis aspires to be a source of information for nursing students and a proper guide for incoming nurses who are about to be employed at a cardiac surgical ward.
Brownfield Regeneration in the Czech Republic in the 2007-2013
ZAJÍČKOVÁ, Tereza
In the Czech Republic, but elsewhere in the world, there are areas, buildings or complexes that have lost their previous use and have been dilapidated or used little. This diploma thesis aims to map out how big brownfield problems are in individual regions of the Czech Republic and whether the regions themselves help to solve this unsatisfactory situation. The partial objective was to evaluate the use of available financial resources provided by the European Union in the 2007-2013 programming period for projects related to brownfield regeneration in the Czech Republic.
Effect of regulation on OTC derivatives in G-SIBS in the USA in 2010-2015
Zajíčková, Tereza ; Jílek, Josef (advisor) ; Munzi, Tomáš (referee)
Institutions from the G-SIBs category have been under greater scrutiny not just by regulatory authorities since the beginning of the financial crisis in 2008. Insufficient regulation in OTC derivatives combined with moral hazard expressed in the highly speculative behaviour by G-SIBs were major factors contributing to the development of the financial crisis. The regulatory bodies in the USA responded to the situation by adopting the Dodd-Frank ACT with the aim to introduce additional rules for the market with OTC derivatives and regulate the activities of G-SIBs significantly. The paper analyses selected indicators related to the OTC derivative exposure and the overall financial condition of the selected G-SIBs. The thesis analyses the development of the monitored indicators following the implementation of the DFA to confirm that the risk arising from speculative derivative deals by G-SIBs was reduced, the financial condition of the selected institutions was strengthened, and the systemic risk was thus suppressed during the period 2010-2015.
Analysis of the influence of monetary policy on the creation and course of speculative bubbles on the capital markets
Zajíčková, Tereza ; Titze, Miroslav (advisor) ; Loužek, Marek (referee)
This thesis deals with monetary policy from the point of view of its impact on the creation of speculative bubbles and presents the mechanism with which the central banks can, on a general scale, stimulate a significant increase in prices of assets which has no fundamental justification. The thesis analyses two selected speculative bubbles which preceded one of the deepest economic crises and confirms the significant influence of the expansionary monetary policy of The Fed on their creation. Attention is also paid to the measures implemented by The Fed in reaction to bursting of the pricing bubbles, which are very different in both cases of economic crisis.
