Bartoš, Petr ; Vaculík, Petr (referee) ; Toman, Petr (advisor)
This work deals with both the calculation of short circuit conditions of 110 kV network in the Czech Republic. This network is divided into two parts, each of which feeds a 400/110 kV substation and the calculation is performed for different locations of a short circuit. The second part deals with the calculation of distance protection settings for one part of this network. The result of this work are the values of network parameters needed to set up distance protection, which protects our individual lines of the network.

This thesis deals with load flow calculation of electrical network 110 kV before and after connection of power plant 100 MW to network node Prostějov. This grid can be supply from two substations 400/110 kV - load flow calculation is realized for two variants of supply - the first from substation Sokolnice and the second from substation Otrokovice. Result of this thesis is evaluation of voltage conditions and conductor overload.
Calculation of the network steady state on the voltage level 110 kV
Macháč, Petr ; Vaculík, Petr (referee) ; Mastný, Petr (advisor)
This thesis deals with load flow calculation of electrical network 110 kV before and after the connection to the 70MW gas supply and the 58MW steam and gas supply. This grid can be powered from two 400/110kV substations, namely Sokolnice and Otrokovice. The load flow calculation is realized for the power supply either from Otrokovice or Sokolnice. Furthermore, the calculation of the uni-phase and three phase short circuits in the substations of 110kV network is realized in this thesis. The result of the thesis is the assessment of the voltage ratio in the network, current load of the power line and short circuit resistance of the substations.
Proposal for the Procedure of Supply Restoring for Power Plant Teplárny Brno Auxiliary System after Extensive System Fault in PS
Jára, Jaroslav ; Vaculík, Petr (referee) ; Orságová, Jaroslava (advisor)
This work deals with the issue of supply restoring for heating plant Teplárny Brno, a. s. Špitálka division, after a system-wide failure of the “blackout”. The thesis solves the “black start” of the Špitálka Teplárny Brno operation by delivering a voltage from the hydroelectric power Vír I, proposes a methodology for commissioning of individual devices, up to phasing the generators with subsequent possibility of creating an “island mode” in the area of Brno city, which the work already does not deal with. The work also deals with the preparation of the operational test, while starts of the selected devices are tested. The schedule of commissioning of each device is supported by calculations of the parameters for the entire system with regard to voltage drops while connecting the high load. The result of this work is the proposal of methodological process of supply restoring for power plant Teplárny Brno – Špitálka division, by submission a voltage from the hydroelectric power Vír I, which can be used both in any system-wide failure of the “blackout”, or during the operational test.
The voltage restoration in Prostějov and Zlín distribution area
Wasserbauer, Vojtěch ; Vaculík, Petr (referee) ; Toman, Petr (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is description of critical situations in the electrical grid and the consequences which can be caused by these situations. Further possibilities of voltage recovery and ways how to reach the needed voltage are described. Another part is firstly about regulation electrical system and resources which are connected to this system. Secondly there is appraisal of possibility of connection new resource into distribution system 110 kV and conditions of connection new resources. The result of the thesis is description voltage recovery and the rules which have to be kept during critical situations.
The calculation of 110 kV network distance protection relays setings.
Bartoš, Petr ; Vaculík, Petr (referee) ; Toman, Petr (advisor)
This master’s thesis is about setting of distance protections. The first part is focused on a brief analysis of the basic types of failures and distance protections tripping characteristics and their co-operation with automatic re-turn. The most extensive theoretical chapter is devoted to specific influences that negatively affect the proper operation of distance protections. The practical part is about calculation of symmetrical short-circuit and dissymmetrical short-circuit conditions with consideration of fault resistance and the actual calculation settings of distance protections. Calculations of short-circuit conditions and setting of distance protections are made on a specific part of the network of E.ON in area Prostejov, which is supplied from the substation 400/110 kV Otrokovice.

Hajdú, Lukáš ; Vaculík, Petr (referee) ; Orságová, Jaroslava (advisor)
This Master´s thesis deals with problematics related to the connection of new decentralized power sources into electrical power grid. Due to advantageous legislative support of these new, especially photovoltaic power sources, a massive amount of these sources have been connected into the power grid between years 2009 and 2010. For theoretical understanding of processes during a steady-state, the initial parts of this paper are focused on a procedure which solves steady-state on every power line mentioned. When we speak of decentralized power sources connection, it is necessary to mention the connected legislative. National distribution grid operators in collaboration with national regulatory commission have decided on a legislative document Rules of distribution grid operation, which puts a set of demands and requirements on applicants wishing to connect a new power source to the grid. The text of this thesis is focused mainly on demands required after the latest change in 1/2010. Practical part of this work deals with verification of new power source influence on a related power grid and meeting the legislatively required demands. The most important demands are voltage change due to new power source operation and its transfer to other voltage levels, higher harmonics injection, power output fluctuation and last, not least, changes in load flow directions. For reasons previously mentioned an analysis is made and possibilities of reducing or removing of these influences are introduced. To achieve these goals, two computer programs, Siemens Sinaut Spectrum and NetCalc are used.
Design of operation of a new 120 MW Maloměřice heating plant power source in E.ON 110 kV power distribution network
Janda, Petr ; Vaculík, Petr (referee) ; Blažek, Vladimír (advisor)
Before putting new power distribution installation into operation and before the connection to grid is needed to validate connectivity of the installation. Purpose of verification is to check compliance with the technical conditions of relevant regulations. Ones of the most important conditions include compliance with the prescribed connection voltage tolerance at the connecting device – and even in the worst-case – and provide necessary short-circuit capability of the other devices in a connected grid. Main task of my master’s thesis is just checking that the voltage tolerance and the control of short-circuit resistance. The calculations were performed by using the dispatching control system that works with the current parameters of the distribution system equipment 110 kV. Theoretical part of thesis describes two main points of the method of calculating the network operation and the method of calculating short-circuit conditions. Based on these theoretical processes are relevant input data processed and evaluated in the dispatching control system. The calculation and evaluate results are presented in the final part of the master’s work.
