Optimizing the operation of wastewater treatment plants

The aim of this diploma thesis is to evaluate two selected wastewater treatment plants and to propose appropriate measures related to optimization of operation. Wastewater treatment plants are from the Jihomoravský and Zlínský regions and both come under the category 2 001 - 10 000 equivalent inhabitants. In the diploma thesis there is an assessment of construction objects, machinery, cleaning efficiency and energy performance of both WWTPs. The calculations are based on the real measured values for the last three years and on the basic parameters of individual objects and equipment. The present state of the two wastewater treatment plants is summarized and optimization proposals are sorted by importance.

The Proposal of Marketing activities in the company

This thesis concern with marketing comunication and especially with propagation as an important factor of company success transacting in service business. First of all the attention is given to differences between marketing services and marketing product and its specific properties. Chief of the work attends to marketing service mix, mainly service propagation. Peroration of the theoretic part deal with external environment analyse. Practical part of the thesis is trying to show on czech company as an exemple how the comunication principles are applied in today´s use and value their effectiveness. Final part then gives attention to new comunication mix proposals.

The efficiency of wastewater treatment plants

The aim of this bachelor´s thesis is to compare the efficiency of several South - Moravian wastewater treatment plants, which fall into the category 500 - 2000 equivalent inhabitants. Real concentrations of the basic water quality indicators on the inflow and outflow from the wastewater treatment for eleven years are processed and the number of exceeded emission standards set by the relevant city authorities is evaluated. The comparison of the efficiency of waste water treatment for individual indicators of pollution is presented and their percentage is compared with the newest available technologies.

The bachelor’s thesis deals with methodologies for evaluating the construction and technical condition of sewer networks. The work consists of two parts. The first theoretical part is focused on the description of basic concepts related to the sewer network, acquaintance with the issues of cleaning, research and faults of sewer networks and also contains methodologies for evaluating the technical condition of sewer networks used in our country and abroad. In the second practical part, based on a camera inspection of a selected section of the sewer network, the classification of faults and evaluation according to three methodologies and their subsequent comparison were performed.
