The main goal is to design functional and durable device with attractive appearance that will make life easier for canine patients and their owners in difficult life situations. The thesis is based on survey of existing products and on study of current state of knowledge concerning needs of canine patients and their parameters. It is veterinary product that can be used in rehabilitation centers for animals and by owners of handicapped dogs.

All ideas and realized innovations is possible split to the several imaginary points. First innovation rests in used materials. Next diversity consist in connection subwoofer with DVD tape deck to the one‘s whole to optical eliminate number of parts, that is necessary in area dislocate. Third idea is improve the quality of acoustic manifestation system, which is restricted.

This thesis deals with problems like long working time, watching monitor during scanning, versatility and safety measures from mechanical damage. Ergonomic solution is also very important. This design is based on a simple and functional shaping. Shaping and color solution corresponds with its use in industry. This scanner also can be used in other fields (for example: medical sector, design, archeology, etc.).

The goal of this diploma thesis is designing a medium-sized security x-ray machine used predominantly for screening cabin luggage and middle-sized parcels. The introductory section of the thesis concentrates on general overview of the whole field through analyses of the design and technical parameters of typical products. The latter part of the thesis is concentrated on the designing a new product using the knowledge base and information obtained within the research. The final product is designed with respect to ergonomic and technical requirements, nevertheless it represents a new perspective on the topic.
