Gait analysis : comparison and selection of test and examinational methods

This thesis focuses on gait examination of hemiparetic patients. The first part addresses general pieces of knowledge about gait, examination options, application of examinational gait tests in the physical therapy, and description of hemiparesis. The second part is summary of my practical experience with gait examinations of hemiparetic patients. The goal of this thesis is to try and evaluate options of tests and gait examinational methods: The Rancho Los Amigos Observational Gait Analysis System The Tinetti Balance and Gait Evaluation The Rivermead Visual Gait Assessment The benefits and drawbacks of each test are also evaluated. It is described how the test informs about gait disorder, its use in practice, the difficulty of realization for both patient and examiner, the method of test evaluation.

Idiopathic scoliosis from the ontogenetic kinesiology point of wiev

The bachelor thesis "Idiopathic scoliosis from the ontogenetic kinesiology point of view" provides basic information about anatomy, kinesiology and spinal curvature development. Various possibilities of idiopathic scoliosis etiology are described in the thesis. Motoric ontogenesis and its variation from the physiological norms are discussed in the main part. The other part discusses examination, therapy and prognosis of idiopathic scoliosis. Furthermore, a patient case report is included in the thesis as well.
