This work deals with the issue of minimum wage. The statutory minimum wage -- as a labour market intervention -- is often perceived in a negative way. In spite of these opinions, the majority of European Union's countries use this instrument. Among others, there are summarized basic functions and impacts of the minimum wage in the theoretical part of this paper. Next part describes the development of the minimum wage in the Czech Republic. The analytical part of this work deals with a comparison of minimum wages in the European Union.
Analysis of the evolution of the GDP of the Czech Republic.

This work describes the fundamental characteristics of national accounting and economic indicators Performance - Gross Domestic Product in the Czech Republic. Further work is captured in the GDP expenditure approach, and its development in modern history, especially during global economic crisis in 2008-2009. The expenditure approach to GDP are described individual components of GDP based on this influence. Their influence is explained in detail in the practical section, namely the economic crisis in 2008-2009.
Czech Republic gross domestic product analysis

The topic of my essay is the analysis of the gross domestic product of the Czech Republic in years 1999-2009. It consists of methodological and analytic parts. The methodological part describes basic terms needed to understand given issues. The analytic part details GDP of the Czech Republic in the monitored period. Analysis is made by comparisons between years and between quarters in constant prices of the previous year. Causes of development are described in detail including their positive and negative impact on the macroeconomic indicator. At the end of the paper there is an overall assesment of the GDP development and major events that affected it.
Migration as a human capital investment.

This thesis deals with the migration of high-skilled workers. The first part describes a theoretical background of migration, namely the basic concepts, types of migration and migration incentives. The next part assesses the advantages and disadvantages of labor migration for both sending and host countries, and also from a global perspective, defines the term Human capital investment and shows the mechanisms of measurement of the incentive for natives to invest in their own human capital. At the end I evaluate the strategy applied in the Czech Republic concerning migration of experts.
Immigration policy of the Czech Republic in relation to citizens of Vietnam

The aim of this work is to describe the immigration policy of the Czech Republic, particularly in relation to citizens of Vietnam and to characterize the Vietnamese community in the Czech Republic. This work is divided into four parts. The first part describes the theoretical basis of migration, that is why people migrate. In the second part there is a development of migration policy and migration from the 2nd half of the 20th century to the present. The third part is devoted to the situation of Vietnamese citizens in their homeland, the reasons for their migration and the approach of the Czech Republic to these immigrants. The last section describes the Vietnamese community in the Czech Republic.
Analysis of the Labor Market in the Trutnov Region

The bachelor thesis deals with the analysis of labour market in the district of Trutnov. It focuses all above on unemployment and vacancies. The theoretical chapter treats of the characteristics of labour market in the perspective of microeconomics and further from the perspective of activities of labour offices. Next chapter, the analytical part, is then focused on the analysis of the labour market in the district of Trutnov especially after year 2000. It focuses primarily on unemployment and its causes. It presents answers to the four hypotheses which are focused on unemployment of school leavers and teenagers, persons with reduced working capacity, as well as the number of foreigners employed in the district and also compares the different characteristics of the labour market in the district to the whole region and to the Czech Republic. The aim of this work is to sort out the data characterizing the labour market and give answers to the four hypotheses.
Human capital and investment in education in the Czech republic

This work deals with human capital and investment in education in the Czech republic. The aim of this work is to describe and map the position of graduates in the labor market. In the theoretical part is defined the term human capital and its historical development. Furthermore, there are described approaches to human capital. Both macroeconomic approach and the microeconomic approach. At the end of the theoretical part are elaborated investment in human capital with emphasis on investment in education. The practical part of the work also deals with the issue of education. The beginning of the practical part map the situation of tertiary education in the CR. Another part deals with the status of graduates in the labor market. Also there is discribed the success and failure of graduates in the labor market.

How already results from the title, the aim of this paper is principally to analyse situation in the labour market of Czech republic. In theoretic part I deal about labour market based on the economic theory. Furthermore, I deal about problem of investment in human capital and discrimination at the labour market. Then in analytic part I deal about situation in Czech republic. I analyse wages, unemployment and development from 2002 to 2009. At the end, I compare labour market of the Czech republic and labour market of other states in European union.

The aim of this paper is principally to detect origin and development of the institute of the minimal wage in the world and its spreading around Europe. In theoretic part I deal about basic functions of the minimal wage and about its influence on employment. Then in analytic part I deal about its development and spreading around the world, particular European minimal wages' systems and I analyse its amount in national and in European measure.
Relation between macroeconomic fundamentals factors and firm efficiency

Relation between macroeconomic fundamentals factors and firm efficiency is a comparative study of influences of macroeconomic fundamentals factors on the efficiency of seven Czech commercial banks. The study defines efficieny through a combination of GDP, inflation, interest rates and exchange rate to trajecty of banks development following changes in macroeconomic factors between 2004-2007 using detailed financial agents. The several concluds that Czech commercial banks clearly reflect layer economy development and thus are a cornorstone of the Czech economy. This study is limited in it's short period.
