The family house with veterinary attendance
Kotek, Miroslav ; Slávik, Richard (referee) ; Benešová, Romana (advisor)
Bachelor´s thesis deals with a new family house with veterinary attendance in the village Pstruží. The aim of this work is to develop design documents for building construction. It is detached building with two floors and basement. Spaces for veterinary medicine are located in the basement. Two floors are intended for occupancy 4-5 persons.
Comparison of measured instantaneous velocities and a calculated flow in an agitated vessel
Evaluation of the dissipation of the turbulent kinetic energy from gradients measured in mixing vessel
Kysela, Bohuš ; Konfršt, Jiří ; Chára, Zdeněk ; Kotek, M.
Dissipation of the turbulent kinetic energy in mixing vessels is important parameter in mixing process. According to the latest findings it is also in the most cases the control process. This study shows a limits of dissipation rate evaluation using the velocity field obtained from the PIV (Particle Image Velocimetry) results.
Evaluation and accuracy of the local velocity data measurements in an agitated vessel
Kysela, Bohuš ; Konfršt, Jiří ; Chára, Zdeněk ; Kotek, M.
Velocity measurements of the flow field in an agitated vessel are necessary for the improvement and better understanding of the mixing processes. The obtained results are used for the calculations of the impeller pumping capacity, comparison of the power consumption etc. We performed various measurements of the local velocities in an agitated vessel final results of which should be processed for several purposes so it was necessary to make an analysis of the obtained data suitability and their quality. Analysed velocity data were obtained from the LDA (Laser Doppler Anemometry) and PIV (Particle Image Velocimetry) measurements performed on a standard equipment where the flat bottomed vessel with four baffles was agitated by the six-blade Rushton turbine. The results from both used methods were compared. The frequency analyses were examined as well as the dependency of the data rates, time series lengths etc. The demands for the data processed in the form of the ensemble-averaged results were also established.
Identification of collapse patterns of cavitation bubbles close to a solid wall
Müller, M. ; Hujer, M. ; Kotek, M. ; Zima, Patrik
The article describes different patterns of bubble deformation during the cavitation bubble collapse close to a solid wall for different bubble-wall distances. The bubble is generated by energy discharge in water. The collapse patterns are investigated using high-speed photography. The magnitude of the bubble-wall interaction is measured using the PVDF film. The shock wave pressure in the far field is measured using the PVDF hydrophone.
Experimental investigation of turbulent flow in a channel with the backward-facing inclined step
Příhoda, Jaromír ; Kotek, M. ; Uruba, Václav ; Kopecký, V. ; Hladík, Ondřej
The work deals with the experimental investigation of turbulent flow in a closed channel with the backward-facing inclined step. Experiments were carried by means of the PIV optical measuring method in the channel of the rectangular cross-section in the inlet part and with inclined steps of the constant height and various inclination angles for a wide range of the Reynolds number. The attention was paid especially to the separation region behind the step and to the relaxation of the shear layer after the reattachment in the outlet part of the channel. The dependence of the length of the separation region on the inclination step angle. Optical measurements were completed by the measurement of static pressure distribution in the inlet and outlet part of the channel to estimate energy losses.
Experimental investigation of synthetic jet array
Dančová, Petra ; Vít, Tomáš ; Kotek, M.
Paper deals on an experimental investigation of a synthetic jet array. This investigation focuses on a partial problem of the general task “a synthetic jet array interacting with a channel flow”. The experiments have been performed with water as a working fluid using hot-wire anemometry, laser Doppler vibrometry and particle image velocimetry methods.
Control terminal VEP30 and its basic application in automation
KOTEK, Martin
Understanding of Programming of computer terminal VEP30 and work with this device, which is standardly used in training instituion of Robert Bosch Company, Ltd., is the main topic of this thesis. Focus is given on description of graphic and development enviroment and its application. Circuit diagrams are used for creating of the main program. Further part of this thesis deals with sensor connections to the terminal. At the end can be found several examples, which illustrate various functions of this terminal and give instructions for their solutions. Students should be able to use this VEP30 terminal in its basic functions after reading this document.
PIV measurement of synthetic jet array
Dančová, Petra ; Vít, Tomáš ; Kotek, M.
This paper describes PIV experiments of a synthetic jet array. This part of measurements is an important step of the general study of a channel flow which is affected by synthetic jet array with emphasis on low Reynolds numbers. The study is experimental. The experiments are performed with water as the working fluids, and PIV method is used.
Experimental study of of time development of pulsatile jets using classical PIV method
Kopecký, V. ; Kotek, M. ; Pírková, L. ; Jašíková, D. ; Trávníček, Zdeněk ; Hlína, Jan
This paper describes a quantitative visualization of pulsatile flow fields using classical PIV method. A synchronization of PIV measurement with the control signal allows to acquire flow fields maps with time steps less than 1ms. The results are presented for jets from weaving nozzles, for controlled jets, and for plasma arks for electrostatic spinning.
