Universal Analyzer of Serial Buses
Gajdoš, Matúš ; Hanák, Pavel (referee) ; Sysel, Petr (advisor)
The purpose of this master’s thesis is to design and to realize the universal analyzer of serial buses. At the beginning there are described in detail specifications and properties of buses IC, SMBus, PMBus and of the UART interface. The second part is targeted especially to design and to realize the control unit, which is the main part of the whole analyzer. It provides connecting to the unknown bus, to buses IC, SMBus, PMBus and SPI and to the UART interface. The main part of the control unit is the microcontroller PIC24HJ128GP204, which partially analyses connected bus. In the next part there is created the user application for PC, which controls and sets the control unit and receives from it partially analyzed data through the USB port. These data are used for the rest of the analysis that is done by the user application. Results may be presented to user in graphical or text form. The user application provides export of results into some of image formats. Supported formats are PS, SVG, PDF, PNG and BMP. In case of the control unit is not available, the user may choose the simulator to simulate some functions that the application provides. It supports simulation of the analysis of the unknown bus and the IC bus. The user application also contains the function of the generating own signals. Signals can be created interactively by using the mouse in the graphical representation of this signal. They can be sent to the control unit and after that it applies them to output. This function is not supported in current version of the control unit software. The user application includes some items, which do not have implemented any methods and they are prepared for the future upgrading of the analyzer. It means especially user controls and components for signal conversions between any buses.
Microcontroller control of step motor
Bělíček, David ; Hanák, Pavel (referee) ; Káňa, Ladislav (advisor)
Subject of this thesis is introduction to questions of stepping motors control. The thesis characterizes basic principles some types of stepping motor, their features and control methods. These knowledges are consequently used for proposition of controlling circuit for driving stepping motor using microcontroller.
Control of Bang&Olufsen Products Using Bluetooth Technology
Mandík, Martin ; Hanák, Pavel (referee) ; Schimmel, Jiří (advisor)
This master thesis deals with the creation concept of the Bluetooth module and applications for mobile phone and PDA. After the connection of the concept with remote control, enable extend of control the Bang&Olufsen products with using mobile phone or PDA. Applications in mobile phone or PDA will communicate to the concept of using Bluetooth technology. The result of this thesis is the creation of printed circuit boards and applications for mobile phone and PDA.
Step-down converter with variable output voltage in range from 20 to 100 V
Pazourek, Petr ; Šmirg, Ondřej (referee) ; Hanák, Pavel (advisor)
This master's thesis describes the design and the implementation of a step-down converter with variable output voltage for laboratory purposes. In the introduction the basic functions of switching power supplies are shown, flyback, forward and push-pull converters are described, followed by some integrated circuits for power management of converters. The second chapter discusses in detail the design of requested switched power supply, including the calculation of the electronic parts and design of the storage inductor. Following are described some observations of building this power supply, including the output characteristics. In conclusion, the obtained results are assessed, including proposals to improve whole design.
Converter USB/RS 485
Henzl, Václav ; Hanák, Pavel (referee) ; Herman, Ivo (advisor)
This thesis is describing problematic of realisation of converter from USB type media into the universal RS-485 bus which is mainly used for the industrial applications (author is using frequently as a device in order to enable communication between server and RFID devices). This thesis contains theoretical information, realisation of the device itself and assesment of reached targets.
Uninterruptible power supply with management system utilizing I2C bus for medical devices
Daněček, Vít ; Hanák, Pavel (referee) ; Šilhavý, Pavel (advisor)
Object my master’s thesis is the design a Medical device uninterruptible power supply with managment system utilizing I2C bus. Norm EN 61000-3-2 define electric parameters for medical device power supply. In case of power supply for medial equipment is expressive accent on increased electric strength. This power supply have usually primary and secondary power circuit. Primary power circuit form line accumulator, which supplies needed output to the load and recharge reserve battery. Secondary is formed battery-pack, which serve as back-up power supply at drop-out prime circle. They have a minimum weight, small proportions, large overall effectivity also charging battery-pack and monitoring battery-pack charging condition. Result whole those master’s thesis is design Medical device uninterruptible power supply with managment system utilizing I2C bus and realization board layout. Resulting characteristics designed supply unit are: Output voltages are 5V/ 3 A , 12V/ 1,5 A and -12V/ 0,1 A. Managment support information about: Line adapter/ battery pack switch, battery-pack charging condition and actuall tempera-ture battery-pack.
Controlling a power LED using ATtiny
Holubčík, Jiří ; Hanák, Pavel (referee) ; Kubánek, David (advisor)
This master´s thesis puts mind to choice and suggestion of suited type of DC/DC tension converter for power supply of power LED. It shows comparison of available types of accumulators in The Czech Republic and types of DC/DC converters used in construction of the sample. The choice of available source of energy is subordinated to final weight and size of a battery. There are also some explicit requirements for the smallest possible size and highest effictivity. So the choice is aimed only for converters with a simple coil and minimum numbers of switching elements to realize the converter, for example by SMT technology. One of many possibilities is LTC3453 circuit, which is described in this thesis, assembled and measured. On the basis of this circuit the next two samples are assembled. Here I try to suppress problems from previous circuit and expand it´s possibilities by adding the control of luminance via the microcontroller ATtiny. Then is introduced the basic description of flashlight Petzl MYO XP which is available in stores.
Evaluation of Investment into the Construction of Warehouse
Hanák, Pavel ; Sieber, Patrik (advisor) ; Štamfestová, Petra (referee)
This work estimates a rentability of investment into warehouse construction. It is purely practical case study coming from everyday managerial practice. The company described in this thesis works in the segment of Transport and Logistics and its managers are currently considering a construction of a new warehouse. The key problem is to assess whether the warehouse is going to be profitable or not. This thesis starts with a general financial analysis of the company, which should bring a broad picture of its financial health. Based on this information, we can decide whether the company can afford such an investment or not. The other methods used in this work are a creation of model of investment revenues, of its cost and of its overall cash-flow. The service life of the new warehouse is projected for thirty years and our model projects the overall investment cash-flow for the whole period of its life. Then, the analysed company's WACC discount factor is applied and the present value of the investment is computed. The major benefit of this thesis is the fact that it tries to solve a real case, or, even better said, a real managerial problem. The results are thus not produced per se, but they can be applied in everyday practice.
