Sedláček, Bohumil ; Hruša, Jan (advisor) ; Matošková, Petra (referee)
6 ABSTRAKT Topic: Education of skiing of students with light mental retardation Aim of work: Verification of convenience of cross-country skis or downhill skis for general skiing drill in connection with downhill skiing of pupils with light mental retardation. Method: This is the experimental research work. This work is divided into two parts. For the purpose of this research students were divided into two groups with similar movement abilities and similar level of light mental retardation. The first group completed the general skiing course by using downhill skies; the second group completed it by using cross-country skies. Both groups were observed and theirs skills were evaluated. Results: The group equipped with downhill skis was slightly better in general skiing. Only in case of falls, getting up and moving on the flat land the group equipped with cross-country skies was better. But when compared by using average and t-test, the differences between both groups were not essential. The group equipped with downhill skis was better in two categories of special downhill skiing drill in comparison with the group which trained with cross-country skies. In two categories both groups were the same. The difference of final averages was minimal and not essential. Key words: mental retardation, downhill skiing,...

Didactics of downhill skiing for people with lower limb amputacion
Hruša, Filip ; Hruša, Jan (advisor) ; Strnad, Pavel (referee)
Thesis title: Didactics of downhill skiing for peouple with lower limb amputation. Main objectives: Verification of proposed methodical series for lower-limb amputation skiers. Method: The work is of theoretical-empirical character, this is an observatory- explanation case study applied to five probands, three skiers with one- sided underknee amputation, one skier with upperknee amputation and one proband with bilatelar amputation. Selection of probands was mad by intentional selection. Based on our empiricism, we will test probands before and after the training of our methodical series proposed in the bachelor thesis, enriched with special preparátory exercises. Results: Proband J.V. improved by 51 points and T.F. by 46 points. While two more experienced skiers P.S. by 37 points and A.B. 29 points. Proband A.B., who has unilateral knee amputation, is also the most experienced skier. He has improved by a total of twenty-nine points, at the highest skill level from the entire set of probands. A separate chapter in our ensemble was a skier with a two-sided amputation who had the least improvement at the lowest skill level. Such a skier is in an incomparably more difficult situation. Conclusion: In our diploma thesis, we have found that our methodological system has proven to be useful and we hope it...
Possibilities of prothetic treatment for skiers with exarticulation of the knee especially for cross-country skiing
Malá, Kateřina ; Hruša, Jan (advisor) ; Gnad, Tomáš (referee)
Thesis title: Possibilities of prothetic treatment for skiers with exarticulation of the knee especially for cross-country skiing Main objectives: I tried to find out the prosthetic possibilities for the people who have the exarticulation in the knee joint and compare the differences between healthy and amputated person. Goals: 1. Try to find out the possibilities for the cross country skiing to people who are having an exarticulation in the knee joint. 2. Watch the cross-country skier with the exarticulation in the knee joint during the activity and find out the differences with healthy person. 3. Devise a solution how to eliminated the shortcomings and try to minimaze these differences. Methods: This thesis is one case study. I used qualitative research methods to write this thesis. I was collecting data to get more information during observation of my experimetee doing recreational sports activities. Then I compared this information with knowledge obtained in the professional literature about cross-country skiing, healthy and amputated cross-country skiers. Results: In this thesis I found out that there is an available prothesis in the Czech Republic which allows the people with exarticulation in the knee joint to cross-country skiing. However there are any limitations in movement that a healthy...
Physical activities of persons with cerebral palsy.
Hruša, Jan ; Hruša, Jan (advisor) ; Brtník, Tomáš (referee)
Title: Physical activities of persons with cerebral palsy Main Goal: To assess whether selected probands with severe physical disabilities due to cerebral palsy can take active part in selected sporting activities. Objectives: 1) To characterize selected probands with cerebral palsy. 2) To procure special equipment for selected sporting activities. 3) To assess the possibilities of active participation of probands suffering from spastic diparesis and spastic quadriparesis forms of cerebral palsy. 4) To design instruction methods for selected sporting activities. Method: This bachelor thesis is an empirical-theoretical one. It exploits the method of direct observation of sporting activities carried out by students with physical disabilities. Results: In this bachelor thesis, we have verified, based on the theoretical and subsequent practical instruction of several sporting activities, such as canoeing, skiing and sailing, that there are specific differences between individual persons suffering from spastic diparesis and spastic quadriparesis forms of cerebral palsy, depending on the severity and extent of their disabilities. The factors limiting their ability to learn and take part in sporting activities consist predominantly in orthopedic impairments affecting upper limbs, together with sensory and...

The methods which we used are comparative analysis and observation with the following description. The observed variables were our thesis proband in comparison with our own expirience about cross-coutry skiing. Results: In our thesis we find out that there is an available prothesis in the Czech Republic which allows the people with exarticulation in the knee joint to cross-country skiing. However there are any limitations in movement that a healthy people do not have. Key words: femoral amputation, the prothesis, C-leg, cross-country skiing with a prothesis, cross-country skiing after amputation

Technique and methodology of skiing with one-sided above knee amputation on two skis
Hruša, Filip ; Hruša, Jan (advisor) ; Matošková, Petra (referee)
Thesis title: Technique and methodology of skiing with one-sided above knee amputation on two skis. Main objectives: Propose a methodical series for beginners with one-sided above knee amputation on two skis. Method: The work is of theoretical-empirical character, this is an explanatory case study applied to three probands, skiers with one-sided above knee amputation. Firstly, a content analysis of publicly available methodical publications will be carried out. Then the observation method with the following description will characterize probands technique by watching video records. Finally, we will propose a methodical series in which we will reflect the observed problems in the technique. Results: We found out in our bachelor thesis, that the same basic mistakes appear in amateur skier beginners, therefore we have proposed a theoretical methodological series that should lead to their elimination. Key words: above knee amputation, prosthetic, transfemoral amputation, prosthetic, skiing of amputees, skiing with prosthetic, ProCarve, C- leg, Genium.
Analysis of the techniques and methodology of cross-country skiing for the visually impaired.
Svobodová, Renata ; Hruša, Jan (advisor) ; Šafránek, Jiří (referee)
Title: Analysis of the techniques and methodology of cross-country skiing for the visually impaired. Aim: The aim of this thesis is to create a set of training exercises in the snow for practicing the classic technique of cross-country skiing for the visually impaired. Methods: It is an empirical and theoretical work, which is based on an analysis of the movement of the visually impaired in cross-country skiing of classical technique. The structure of the work is led as qualitative research. To achieve the objective, we used observations, field measurements, photo and video documentation through digital cameras GoPro brand. Based on the analysis of movement each proband was evaluated from particular monitored exercises and based on the evaluation they got recommendations for training exercises on the snow. Results: With processing and subsequent evaluation of equilibrium and coordination exercises control, we found that visual impairment has a decisive influence on the balance on one ski and coordination of arms and legs which is the source of technical shortcomings. Conclusion: Based on the results of our work, we proposed a supplementary preparatory equilibrium and coordination exercises. Keywords: visual impairment, classic technique, cross-country skiing
