Porous layers of titanium dioxide
Sekerová, Kateřina ; Dvonka, Vladimír (referee) ; Dzik, Petr (advisor)
This thesis deals with the preparation, properties and methods of characterization of porous titanium oxide layers prepared by sol-gel process. The theoretical part contains a summary of the search methods of preparation and use of porous thin films of titanium dioxide photocatalysis. The practical part involves the preparation of sol suitable for printing of porous layers, the properties and characterization of these layers.
SiOx based barrier coatings
Sedláček, Ondřej ; Dzik, Petr (referee) ; Přikryl, Radek (advisor)
The theme of this thesis is based on the preparation and characterization thin films prepared by methods like a Physical Vapor Deposition, Plasma Assisted Vapor Deposition and Plasma Enhanced Chemical Vapor Deposition. The elementary materials for the preparation of these layers are silicon monooxide powder, melamine and hexamethyldisiloxane. These layers have been prepared with regards to their usage like a barrier coatings with emphasis on poisonous organic substances resistance.. We made a characterization of these films. This characterization is consist of researching of their physical properties (the ability to resist permeation of certain organic compounds), and their chemical composition too. We used to some specific method for these characteristics, for example: FTIR, OTR, ellipsometry, SEM and measuring of the permeation of selected industrial pollutants resistance.
Protection of prints by varnishing
Lokotschová, Radka ; Dzik, Petr (referee) ; Veselý, Michal (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the issue of basic inkjet printing principles. It describes the continual stream and the drop on demand technique. It also deals with the issue of paper media, which are used during the inkjet printing – supporting bases and receiving layers. The thesis includes a description of print degradation, which is caused by UV-VIS radiation, pollutants, humidity or by elevated temperature. It also deals with the basic characteristics of varnishing and lamination.
Methods of Color Prints Lightfastness Evaluation
Komárková, Hana ; Havlínová,, Bohuslava (referee) ; Dzik, Petr (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with recent methods of lightfastness evaluation of the colour photographs. It summarizes the experimental methods used for both classic and digitally printed materials. Samples made by using the dye diffusion thermal transfer were put to accelerated and long-term lightfastness tests. Colour changes of the samples were evaluated on the basis of measured reflective spectra from which colorimetric quantities were calculated. The velocity constant of photograph fading was specified by dependence on the loss of normalized gamut volume on the exposure.
Stability of Poly(vinyl alcohol)-Titanium Dioxide Composite Films
Potočková, Lucie ; Jančovičová, Viera (referee) ; Dzik, Petr (advisor)
This thesis deals with the preparation of composite PVA/TiO2 hydrogel. Glutaraldehyde was used as the crosslinkong agent. The photocatalytic stability under the UV irradiation was studied in as-prepared gel. Then the photocatalytic degradation properties were examined on a model compound 2,6-dichlorineindophenol.
Dye Sensitised Solar Cells
Schovancová, Petra ; Weiter, Martin (referee) ; Dzik, Petr (advisor)
Recent experimental effort is focused to a very promising photovoltaics technology – dye sensitized solar cell. This technology is based on the generation of electrons in a sensibilization dye and their separation on a semiconducting material (TiO2). Bachelor thesis deals with the summary of present knowledge about this technology, the preparation of solar cells from generaly and commercially available components and basic study of their properties.
Current Technologies for Photographic Color Prints Production
Štěpánková, Eva ; Jančovičová, Viera (referee) ; Dzik, Petr (advisor)
Paper gives a brief overview on current technologies for large-scale production of color photographic prints. Advantages and disadvantages of individual technologies are discussed. A comparison of color gamuts is included as well.

The Influence of Various Deposition Techniques on the Structural and Photoelectrochemical Properties of the thin TiO2 Films
Morozová, Magdalena ; Klusoň, Petr ; Dzik, P. ; Veselý, M. ; Baudys, M. ; Krýsa, J. ; Šolcová, Olga
In recent years thin films as the nanostructured electrode material have evoked a great interest in fields of photovoltaics, energy storage, sensing, photo-electrocatalysis etc. The aim of this thesis was the preparation of functional thin TiO2 layers by chemical way using the reverse micelles templating. The sol–gel TiO2 layers deposited on the conductive ITO glass by three various deposition techniques (dip-coating, inkjet printing and spray-coating) were used as photo-anode in the three-compartment electrochemical cell. Relationships between structural properties and photo-induced conductivity of the nanostructured layers were studied.
