Sudoku - algorithmization of solution
Buchta, Martin ; Sekora, Jiří (referee) ; Mézl, Martin (advisor)
In this paper, we present an overview of techniques that can be used by people to solve a Sudoku Puzzle. The individual algorithms were theoretically described using real tasks and were implemented on this basis to appropriate graphical user interface in Matlab with the possibility of webcam task loading.
Design of a 25 kV traction disconnector
Buchta, Martin ; Bušov, Bohuslav (referee) ; Šimek, David (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the design of a traction disconnector for 25 kV AC and a rated current of 800 A. The result should be a competitive disconnector that is capable of potential applications on domestic railways and should have parameters that other local manufacturers do not currently offer. This is, for example, electrical strength or the size of the rated current, which is an economic option for most railway lines in the Czech Republic. According to the proposed drawing documentation, the disconnector was assembled and then the selected disconnector parameters were tested. For example, electrical strength tests, short-circuit tests, constant current tests, etc. were performed. The calculated and measured values were compared together. The designed disconnector was financially and technically evaluated on the basis of test results and the construction itself. Finally, some appropriate adjustments were proposed.
4K real-time video encoding using NVENC technology
Buchta, Martin ; Přinosil, Jiří (referee) ; Kříž, Petr (advisor)
Diploma thesis is focused on real-time 4K video encoding using NVENC technology. First chapter describes the most used video codecs H.264 and HEVC. There is an explanation of the principle of graphic cards and their programmable units. Analysis of the solution of open source Video Codec SDK is also part of the thesis. The main focus of the thesis is an implementation of an application which can handle 4K video encoding from multiple cameras in real time. Performance and qualitative tests were performed for application. Results of these tests were analyzed and discussed.
Fuel Systems with Pressure Accumulator
Buchta, Martin ; Janoušek, Michal (referee) ; Dundálek, Radim (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis is focused on the Common Rail injection system for diesel engines. There is described each component, function principle and history of the system. It deals with currently used systems, theirs application in passenger cars engines and theirs effect on emissions in exhaust gases. It is concluded that the Common Rail injection system is currently the best, which we can use in passenger's cars diesel engines.
Mobile App for Shooting New Photos of Ancient Postcards
Buchta, Martin ; Zemčík, Pavel (referee) ; Herout, Adam (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is to create a mobile application which allows to capture actual photographs of ancient postcards. Application is implemented for Android operation system. Theoretical foundations about problematics of repeat photography and used technologies are described in this thesis. Practical part of this thesis describes design, implementation and testing of the application. Xamarin integrated development environment which is based on programming language C# was utilized for practical part of thesis. Final application allows user to capture the most accurate photography corresponding to historical postcard.
Influence of flame retardant on negative electrodes in lithium - ion accumulator
Buchta, Martin ; Libich, Jiří (referee) ; Máca, Josef (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with problematics of electrochemical power sources with focus on lithium accumulators, their construction and functioning priciple. It also discusses the safety of li-ion batteries with respect to their flammability. In addition, the flame retarders, which help to lower the flammability, are listed. The thesis describes Cyclic Voltammetry and Galvanostatic Cycling with Potencial which are lithium-ion cell measuring methods. In the last part, the influence of various flame retarders on negative electrode is compared based on the conducted tests.
Consequences of increasing the efficiency of small motors.
Buchta, Martin ; Mach, Martin (referee) ; Hájek, Vítězslav (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the consequences of increasing the efficiency of small asynchronous motors up to 1kW. This work is written in response to ever-increasing demands on minimal efficiency for asynchronous engines, whether through European Union legislation or just competition between manufacturers. The aim of the thesis is therefore to evaluate measures to increase efficiency. The evaluation refers to the consumption of the active material and the weight of the individual treatments. For the evaluation itself, it was necessary to first study the final papers written at this faculty concerning the efficiency of small asynchronous motors. After studying these works, it was necessary to select those measures which, with their minor costs, are least demanding, lead to an increase in efficiency of at least 1% and also to compare these measures with each other. The asynchronous engine of ATAS a.s. with a power of 600W. Three measures to improve efficiency were selected for this engine, mainly related to the diameters of the winding conductor used, the change in the number of threads, and, possibly, the extension of the length of the circuit. These three measures made a rough financial analysis of the price for active material. The prices of active material were found from manufacturers or suppliers.
Vehicle Make and Model Recognition in Image
Buchta, Martin ; Špaňhel, Jakub (referee) ; Herout, Adam (advisor)
This thesis deals with classification of a car model from an image.   It describes several methods, such as convolutional neural networks, methods limited to the fron/rear view and methods using 3D CAD models. From these approaches it chooses convolutional neural networks, which it further deals with. The work contains a description of the individual layers of which such a network consists. The practical part describes the procedure by which the classifier, that has an accuracy of 80.7\,\%, was created. A dataset containing 1\,034 photos was created to verify functionality. The work further experiments with different architectures and evaluates their accuracy. The work contains a program which, thanks to the car detector, finds the vehicle in the video and marks it with a square and a description of the car model in the given video.
Switching arc plasma diagnostics by usage of two high-speed cameras
Buchta, Martin ; Dostál, Lukáš (referee) ; Valenta, Jiří (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with an electrical arc formation and its properties. The thesis also describes some of the electrical devices and principles, which are used for arc extinction. It is mainly focused on design, construction and testing of model of the LV quenching system, which allows high speed cameras to record arc movement. Recorded images are then used to create three-dimensional reconstruction of the electric arc with help of created program 3DMaker. The final reconstruction is the output of this work.
Valve Train for Turbocharged Formula Student Engine
Buchta, Martin ; Špičák, Milan (referee) ; Svída, David (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with valve train design of turbocharged engine used in Formula Student category race car. Based on thermodynamic model, a proper valve timing was chosen to achieve maximum power at high engine speed. A kinematic model was used to compute final cam profiles and CAD model was created.
