3D visualization of reconstructed settlements on web
Kryshenyk, Pavlo ; Štych, Přemysl (advisor) ; Brůha, Lukáš (referee)
3D visualization of reconstructed settlements on web Abstract The object of this thesis was 3D reconstruction and visualization of historical urban objects in web environment. The thesis also deals with issues associated with the topic and creation of a web portal for publishing 3D reconstructions of different authors. A 3D reconstruction of historical appearance of the Theatre Square and part of Korso street in the city Uzhgorod was held. Modeling was conducted in the Trimble SketchUp software using historical pictures for photo textures of buildings. Web application has been developed using the tools of Google Earth API. The work results in a web application involving visualization of 3D models of buildings in Google Earth environment, virtual tours, tools for illumination control, placemarks with popup balloons, carrying multimedia and textual information about the objects and other visualization tools. Keywords: 3D reconstruction, Google Earth API, SketchUp, web application, Uzhgorod
Online route planning with open-source applications
Matyáš, Jiří ; Schneider, Michal (advisor) ; Brůha, Lukáš (referee)
The goal of this work is to create a route planning web application while using open source tools and applications. In the beginning, tools used to produce such application are briefly introduced. The the process of creating the application is described. This paper describes the proces sof getting, editing and storing data used for route planning. The proces sof creating the web mapping application itself is described, too. Data have been stored using PostgreSQL database system and its extension PostGIS. Route planning is realized using pgRouting library and the resulting route is displayed using OpenLayers library and OpenStreetMap as a base map. The application has been created using PHP and Javascript.
Models of public transport in the GIS environment
Loukotka, Tomáš ; Grill, Stanislav (advisor) ; Brůha, Lukáš (referee)
Models of Public Mass Transportation in GIS Environment Abstract The thesis tries to describe and categorize models of public mass transportation. A new model is built upon these models and based on authors' thoughts. This model is constructed to work with headways only instead of timetables. Therefore one cannot precisely estimate the passengers' behaviour. The model works also with street network aside from public transportation lines. An application is built upon these model and allows network editing and processing of shortest-path analysis and accessibility analysis. Technologies used: ExtJS, OpenLayers, CGI, Shapely, STORM, PostgreSQL. This application is then used for building a public transportation network of Prague 6 region and for performing analysis upon this network.
Design of Pravčická brána 3D model and its integration with 2.5D TIN terrain model
Brýdl, Ivo ; Brůha, Lukáš (advisor) ; Lysák, Jakub (referee)
The main goal of this thesis is to design integrated model containing a three-dimensional representation of Pravčická brána rock arch and 2.5D TIN model of surrounding terrain. Point cloud from airborne lidar measurements has to be classified into ground and non-ground features. The ground points are the basis of the TIN terrain representation. Second part of this thesis is focused on methods for reconstructing 3D surface from given points set retrieved with ground-based lidar measurement. The thesis describes the process of meshing point cloud with Poisson surface reconstruction. Finally, these two models are oriented and translated to real coordinates in order to form integrated hybrid model covering part of České Švýcarsko National Park.
Automatic publication of data and metadata for map and catalogue systems from raster sources in PostgreSQL
Hettler, Jakub ; Brůha, Lukáš (advisor) ; Grill, Stanislav (referee)
Automatic publication of data and metadata for map and catalogue systems from raster sources in PostgreSQL Abstract The main goal of the presented work is the design and implementation of the application for the automatic publication of the raster data and metadata from the PostgreSQL database to the map and catalog services. The application should exclusively utilize the open source software and technologies. The fundamental component of the developed application is the PostgreSQL database with the PostGIS and PostGIS raster extensions. The presented work evaluates the possibilities of the raster storage from different points of view -e.g. the suitability for the further data processing or the publication of the raster data. The most suitable structure for raster storage is then proposed with respect to analytical and publication usage of the stored data. The possibilities of the open source software for the solution and implementation of the presented problem are then inspected. The GeoNetwork and GeoServer are utilized as a metadata and map server solution. The results of the deployment of these technologies is then evaluated for the real world data and compared with other available related solutions. Keywords: PostGIS, PostGIS raster, GeoServer, GeoNetwork opensource, metadata, web map services, OGC,...
3D vVizualization Campus Buildings Albertov
Peterková, Tereza ; Štych, Přemysl (advisor) ; Brůha, Lukáš (referee)
3D vizualization campus buildings Albertov Abstract This work deals with theoretical and practical aspects of 3D countryside model creation and housing development with the help of geoinformation technologies, concretely programme equipment ESRI ArcGIS and Google SketchUp. The first part of the work brings a general overview concerning the problematics of 3D simulating and the possibilities of 3D information representation. It also includes a survey of already elaborated projects focused on visualisation of built up premises. However the crucial part is the practical part of the work, which deals with the creation of 3D model of the University Campus Albertov in Prague. The source data and used software are analysed first of all, followed by the description of digital terrain model creation and the models of buildings themselves. The final part focuses on the possibilities of final visualisation and output creation.
Map server visualizing the Albertov campus
Polášek, Petr ; Štych, Přemysl (advisor) ; Brůha, Lukáš (referee)
Map server visualizing the Albertov campus Abstract The basic aim of this work is to create an interactive web application which enables to display several map layers of the Albertov campus and its surroundings. The application will be providing information about university buildings and it will be created with Open Source tools MapServer and OpenLayers. In the first part the work deals with digital internet maps, web map services and with architecture of map servers. In the practical part are described both MapServer and OpenLayers and also the methodology of the work. Keywords: MapServer, OpenLayers, map server

Topological control of selected data model using ModelBuilder and Python
Kučera, Martin ; Schneider, Michal (advisor) ; Brůha, Lukáš (referee)
Topology control of the selected data model using ModelBuilder and Python Abstract The goal of this work is to characterize the Minimal digital elaboration standard for spatial planning in GIS (MINIS) globally and to create a control tool for the data based on this standard. In the first part of my work, some of the spatial planning standards used in the Czech republic are mentioned and MINIS is decribed in detail. In the second one, the creation process of the topology control tool in Python programming language is described. In conlusion, all the difficulties I had to overcome in this work as well as the offered solutions are discussed. The output of my work are the control script and a simple user's manual. Keywords: MINIS, Python, topology control
