Criteria of multiaxial fatigue life
Bauer, David ; Slámečka, Karel (referee) ; Horníková, Jana (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis focuses on determination of lifetime of material under multiaxial cycle loading. This knowledge is important for a good design of the most machine parts. The thesis includes a short description of the proces of material fatigue, which is consequence of cyclic loading. It contains fatigue criteria for the case of uniaxial and multiaxial loading too. From a large number of multiaxial criteria are chosen energy-based and stress-based models.
Application of tensegrity structures in modelling of mechanical behaviour of smooth muscle cells
Bauer, David ; Fuis, Vladimír (referee) ; Burša, Jiří (advisor)
The master’s thesis deals with the computational modelling of the mechanical testing of isolated smooth muscle cells. The main aims are to create computational model of a cell, to simulate single-axis tensile test and to modify the model so that the model reflects real mechanical response. The model of the cell includes cytoplasm, nucleus, cell membrane and cytoskeleton which is modelled as a tensegrite structure. On this model the tensile test was simulated in case of the cell with cytoskeleton and the cell with distributed the cytoskeleton. Force-elongation curves, which were obtained from this simulation, were compared with experimental data which were taken from literature. Tensile properties were measured on freshly isolated cells from rat thoracic aorta, cultured cells, and cells treated with cytochalasin D to disrupt their actin filaments. It was found that the cytoskeleton influence on the cell load in computational model was smaller than in the real cell. Therefore the model was modified by changing material propreties and geometry so that the model of the cell corresponded with the different types of experimentally measured cells.
The current czech nationalism in extreme right
Bauer, David ; Charvát, Jan (advisor) ; Mlejnek, Josef (referee)
Aim of the thesis is to describe and analyse the role of nationalism in contemporary Czech extreme right movements. Its author has two fundamental objectives. The first is to evaluate strength and relevance of contemporary Czech nationalism within extreme right movements. The second objective consists in the analysis of nationalism itself, which should reveal the true nature of these organizations and their ideological platform. This thesis presents an overview of Czech extreme right spectrum. It was essential to select movements that mutually differ and therefore represent various manifestations of Czech right extremism. All three platforms can be classified as extreme right movements strongly resonating with Czech nationalism. They see themselves as patriots who defend conservative values and national traditions. Revue of The National Idea represents an attempt to create a sophisticated, intellectual forum providing conditions for ultra-right views and ideas. D.O.S.T. movement acts as a conservative "people's initiative", standing against multiculturalism and the European Union. The National Party is then an example of extreme political grouping with traces of populism, xenophobia and pure racism. Content analysis of these three movements is the main topic of the thesis. Examining their goals,...
Financial Statements Approval in the Environment of a Small Municipality in The Czech Republic
Šlégrová, Lucie ; Svoboda, Michal (advisor) ; Bauer, David (referee)
The thesis is dedicated to the financial statements approval in the environment of a small municipality. In the first three parts is explained how the process of approval works by entities as municipality. There is also explained the legislation concerning municipalities and their financial reporting. There is described the process of the financial statement approval of a small municipality Kytín in the last part, the function of every single person who is concerned is identified and in conclusion there is stated the evaluation of the process in terms of efficiency, comprehensibility and duration.

The Central System of State Accounting Information
Kortanová, Nikola ; Svoboda, Michal (advisor) ; Bauer, David (referee)
This bachelor thesis deals with The Central System of State Accounting Information, its functions and purpose. The first section describes the state accounting in the Czech Republic. The second part looks in detail at the implementing decrees, which amend Act No. 563/1991 Coll., the Act on Accounting. The last part focuses on the practical impacts of the Central System of State Accounting Information on the normal operations of accounting entities. The aim is to assess the benefits and effects of the state accounting.
