Possible usage of SVG and JavaScript for interactive maps
Stein, Zbyněk ; Čábelka, Miroslav (advisor) ; Schneider, Michal (referee)
The aim of this work is to demonstrate the possibilities of the SVG format and JavaScript in creating of interactive maps. The work is primarily focused on the creation of various elements of the digital interactive map. In the theoretical part of the work the attention is paid to the term of the interactive map and its integral components. The possibilities of use of both selected formats are described. The development of both formats and the way of their implementation are also mentioned. Other techniques used in the practical part are briefly listed. In the next part of the work the creation of the interactive map elements and the useability of the selected formats in practice are discussed and evaluated. The results are also demonstrated in the sample interactive map. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)
Testing of altitude accuracy of GIS GPS devices
Žďánský, Radek ; Čábelka, Miroslav (advisor) ; Bayer, Tomáš (referee)
This work is about testing altitude accuracy of GIS GPS receivers Trimble Juno SC and Trimble GeoExplorer 6000 GeoXH. The introduction is dealing with general topics connected with satellite navigation and describes individual global navigation satellite systems. A Separate chapter is dedicated to factors influencing surveying accuracy. The Main section of this work consists of gathering and processing of data gathered from surveying at point with known coordinates and from surveying of an appropriately chosen track. Followed by measurement of chosen leveling program using technical leveling, surveying by GIS GPS receivers was made at chosen points of this leveling program, data gathered from both methods were compared. The results are shown in graphical outputs, where their individual accuracy and suitability for chosen surveying jobs is being discussed.
Analysis of Klaudyán's Maps Derivatives from Map Collection of Charles University
Vydláková, Alena ; Čábelka, Miroslav (advisor) ; Grim, Tomáš (referee)
Analysis of Mikuláš Klaudyán's map derivatives from the Map collection of Charles University Abstract This bachelor's thesis concerns itself with Mikuláš Klaudyán's map of Czech lands from 1518 and derivatives of said map. Main objective of this thesis is to analyse all available derivatives of Klaudyán's map from the Map collection of Charles University and ascertain basic facts about these maps. Furthermore, of all the derivatives, four maps are chosen for a detailed content analysis and a cartometric analysis. The chosen maps are: Sebastian Münster's map from his Cosmographia; another map in a czech version of The Cosmographia translated by Zikmund of Puchov in Kosmografie česká; Italian engraver Bolognino Zalteri's map and a Klaudyán's map of František Jakub Jindřich Kreybich. The content analysis focuses on mathematical, physiographic and socioeconomic elements of the map. Cartometric analysis is done in MapAnalyst software. Resulting from the thesis is a concise table summarizing all the information available about Klaudyán's map derivatives from the Map collection of Charles University. Additionally, a table comparing the names of settlements contained on Klaudyán's map and its derivatives is attached to this thesis and is analyzed to the detail. Key words: analysis, Bolognino Zalteri, František...
Creating a 3D model of the White Tower in Hradec Kralove from terrestrial laser scanning data
Lagner, Ondřej ; Čábelka, Miroslav (advisor) ; Štefanová, Eva (referee)
This work is focused on processing data of digital terrestrial laser scanning of The White tower in Hradec Králové city and solving the problems closely connected to this. Data was processed in different graphical softwares, which were specialy made for this kind of tasks. During the processing, the softwares were compared according to established criteria. The mos usefull pragram Geomagic Studio 2012 was chosen and 3D model of the tower was made in this. To assess the accuracy of the model, was it measured by yardstick, and model was also compared with buildings plan.
The design of an up-to-date meteorologic situation web portal with the use of satellite images
Hrstková, Lucie ; Grill, Stanislav (advisor) ; Čábelka, Miroslav (referee)
The aim of this master thesis is to create a web portal with the presentation of up-to-date Meteosat images and accompanying aplications. The web portal is intended for a "common" user. It will contain a registry of events which are interesting in terms of meteorology (storms, various types of clouds, etc.) as well as descriptions of different meteorologic situations and objects in images. Except for the presentation of the images, this web portal will provide its users with a database of previous images, which can be displayed, links to other websites with a similar topic, informations about the satellite where these images were taken from and the opportunity to display the images of interesting or rare processes. A commentary on the up-to-date situation will complement the presentation. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)
Creation of geoinformatical system for mobile devices
Jakl, Michal ; Čábelka, Miroslav (advisor) ; Kříž, Jan (referee)
The aim of this thesis is to design and create a complex community geoinformatical system for mobile devices with Android OS. The first part presents currently available software tools, with an emphasis on user friendliness and minimal financial costs. The following sections deal with design of client-server system, selection and processing of data into databases and creating algorithms, ensuring the entire system. Emphasis is also placed on optimalization for mobile devices, bilingualism and user friendliness. The practical outcome and application of ideas from previous parts of this work is the creation of a mobile application DoPřírody!, which allows outdoor users to search the database of natural areas (parks, forests, cemeteries and others) and also is able to navigate the shortest route to the selected destination in real time. For registered users it is possible to rate, comment and edit existing areas and add new ones. The conclusion contains comparation with large map servers, the results of publishing application on the Google Play website and conclusions of testing in the community of users. Keywords: Android, network analysis, server, database, nature, mobile applications
Analysis of extensiveness of the ruins in the Czech Republic
Šudová, Markéta ; Bayer, Tomáš (advisor) ; Čábelka, Miroslav (referee)
Analysis of extensiveness of the ruins in the Czech Republic Abstract This bachelor thesis deals with the analysis of extensiveness of 15 selected largest ruins in the Czech Republic by means of designed geometric criteria. The analysis of the current state (a ruin) and historical state (a castle) on the basis of a combination of several maps (Orthophoto CR, large-scale geodetic plans from the National Heritage Institute and drawings of ruins from historical publications) was carried out with the use of software ArcGIS. Based on these vector data, the basic criteria (total area, circumference and length of defensive walls) as well as complementary criteria (built-up area, core area, area of outer bailey, area of courtyard and area of barren soil) are analysed by which the extensiveness of a ruin is expressed. The evaluation of numerical results of individual criteria in relation to a current or historical state as well as the finding of the most extensive ruins based on these criteria represent outcome of the thesis. Keywords: analysis, castle, ruin, ArcMap, extensiveness, vastness, criteria, map, plan, cartography
