Exhibitions in GVUO end, House of Arts waits for roof reconstruction
Galerie výtvarného umění v Ostravě
Už jen do 30. dubna máte možnost prohlédnout si výstavy v Galerii výtvarného umění v Ostravě (GVUO). Dům umění, GVUO ve středu 1. května zavírá, aby mohla být zrekonstruována jeho střecha. Památkově chráněná budova bude až do podzimu z bezpečnostních důvodů pro veřejnost uzavřena. Zpřístupní ji vernisáž výstav Otto Gutfreunda a Rudolfa Sikory v úterý 15. října, obnovena bude také stálá expozice i cyklus výstav jednoho díla ze sbírek GVUO.

Galerie výtvarného umění v Ostravě
Galerie výtvarného umění v Ostravě (GVUO) prodlužuje aktuální výstavy až do květnové rekonstrukce střechy Domu umění. GVUO nyní vystavuje současné německé umění, konceptuální práce Jána Mančušky, malbu V noci od Josefa Bolfa v rámci Výstavy jednoho díla ze sbírek GVUO a stálou expozici věnovanou zrodu Domu umění, GVUO a galerijních sbírek. Výstavy budou v GVUO k vidění minimálně do konce dubna, možná i déle. Po zahájení rekonstrukce bude z bezpečnostních důvodů výstavní budova pro veřejnost uzavřena.

Galerie výtvarného umění v Ostravě
Výstava (Kon)texty Jána Mančušky je založena na prezentaci dvou prací Veden zdmi otočil jsem se do rohu (2007) a Žena středního věku (2009), které GVUO zakoupila v roce 2018 do svých sbírek. Kurátorský záměr představit na výstavě pouze a jenom tato dvě díla je motivován nejen vědomím náročnosti procesu jejich pochopení, ale také faktem, že velkorysost a čistota instalační prezentace ve výstavním prostoru může napomoct jejich adekvátnímu prožitku. Z výše uvedeného vyplývá, že výstavní blok nemá ambici ukázat Jána Mančušku v jeho celistvém uměleckém rozpětí. Je pouze částečným otiskem jedné autorovy tvůrčí polohy, v níž se zaobíral texty jako nástroji uměleckého sdělování.

The topic of this diploma thesis is a form of own personal space which is confronted with scene visuality used in film industry. It is about linking an existing and fictive (illusionary) environment. I can see the cinematographic space as an image of its physical equivalent. I do search for scenes in existing movies, which are charting the interiors of environments, where the movie is being set. I do use the camera moves and the ways of seeing the immediate surroundings as they are used in those scenes and I repeat them in my own private apartment. Screenplay structure comes from my apartment dispositions. The final dual channel video leads the spectactor through two levels of space in the same time.
